The Flaking & Cracking SME has direct accountability and is the decision maker for Flaking & Cracking operations and maintenance. This position will independently assess operational and maintenance needs, direct local teams on the best course of action and then develop, implement and execute Flaking & Cracking operating and maintenance strategies for the BU to include: Flaking & Cracking Operations & Maintenance Manual, preventive maintenance procedures, full face and roll-end grinding procedures, cleaning procedures, and autonomous maintenance. This position will train operators, maintenance crafts, and management on Flaking & Cracking operations and maintenance. Flaking & Cracking SME will also monitor Flaking & Cracking related fires and smolders and implement standards to reduce both. The position will align CASCNA standard procedures with Operational Excellence standards across all crushing plants in North America. This position will work with each location to achieve White Flake Fats and flake thickness goals.
Principal Accountabilities:40% Asses Flaker performance and operation practices. Evaluate and formulate operating practices. Provide direction to locations on actions for improving their Flaker material condition. 20% Independently implement and train each location on Flaker operating and maintenance procedures. 20% Develop Flaker Maintenance and Operating standard work for operation and maintenance. 10% Work with Oilseeds worldwide MTL on Flaker best practices and standard work. 5% Evaluate and implement Flaker and Cracker fire and smolder reduction measures at locations. 5% Work with Reliability Excellence team to implement Autonomous Maintenance. Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or a minimum of three years' experience working in production or operations and completion of secondary level education.

Under general supervision and on a rotating shift basis, this classification is responsible for the safe, efficient, and proper operation of all equipment associated with the respective generating units. This classification starts, operates, and shuts down boilers and their auxiliaries: turbines and their auxiliaries, generators and their auxiliaries, and all other necessary plant equipment from a central control room.
This classification directs the activities of other plant operators. Performs minor maintenance as assigned when not operating. May be assigned vibration analysis.
Typical Duties 1. Performs all work in a safe manner. Complies with all applicable safety rules, regulations and procedures.
Performs all work that they are qualified and trained to do in a manner to protect themselves, their fellow employees and the general public from injury. 2. Properly relieves the previous shift, including checking for special orders, operating conditions, data sheets, log sheets, alarm panels/points and the general condition of the equipment as indicated by the panel instruments. Daily checks on lift stations and cleaning depending on hours used. Assist in the operation of wastewater treatment plants including process control, daily checks, and collection of samples. Assist in the maintenance of collection lines including routine sewer line cleaning, and emergency sewer backups.

High School diploma or general equivalency diploma and successful completion of fifty (50) credit training credits. Associate’s Degree from a two-year accredited water technology program in Water/Wastewater technology or related field is preferred but not required. Experience.
