Expectations Creel yarn packages on all creel feed machines following direction of Utility Lead Splice in new beam sets in a safe and timely manner. Run Bitwinder as needed.
Run knots through after beam change and verify machine threadup. Pull yarn off of beams and remove beam weights at the end of each shop order. Verify beam placement in beam rack.
Observe and comply with all J+J policies and contribute to the J+J culture of a high performance workplace. Maintain a clean work area with materials well organized. Work safely with complete adherence to all safety procedures.
Demonstrate dependability and consistent, punctual attendance for all work assignments. Physical Requirements Standing is required 80% of time for 30 to 45 minutes per time. Pulling of yarn from beams is required 20% of shift.
Reaching is required for yarn 50 to 60% of shift. Stooping is required 10% of shift for 30-second intervals. Bending is required to creel 10 to 20% of time, and lifting cones 30% of time.
Must be able to use air splicer 30% of shift. Must be able to use snips and/or scissors 5% of shift. Must be able to distinguish colors and shade differences.
Occasional lifting is required of cones of yarn weighing 10 to 12 lbs. Occasionally required to climb, balance, and kneel.
Production - Tufting Creeler II - 2Nd And 3Rd Shift
Team members set goals and work together to achieve them.
Teams will also balance customer, business, and individual goals.
Creel for both Warping and Tufting machines as assigned.Utilizing creel diagram, creel racks and maintain them as necessary for each shop order. Creeling functions include stripping, doubling creels, creel inspections, etc.Ensure quality and accuracy that labels on boxes of yarn and in cones match the shop order for quality purposes.Pack yarn into boxes, count number of cones in each box and prepare packing label when the set is complete.Identify and correct different yarn defects while monitoring a running creel.Dispose of recyclable and scrap materials properly.Complete and distribute all associated paperwork.Perform creel shifts as directed.Thread ends during normal operation without crossing ends or missing guides.Change blades in air splices and dispose of blade properly.Assist in keeping the entire facility clean.Maintain a neat and orderly workspace.

Meridian Specialty Yarn Group, Inc has an immediate opening for a first shift creeler. The creeler must be detailed oriented and able to work at a fast pace. Candidates must meet our hiring criteria regarding criminal background and drug screening process.
Place correct yarn into creels for new set-ups.
Correctly feed yarn through center tubes according to the lot page.
Keep creels filled for machines that are in production.
Maintain waste by air peeling packages.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized production line and work area.
