Work as part of a team to ensure the timely and proficient flow of material through the finishing department. Product handling skills to ensure that quality product is delivered to the customer is a must, as well as a good working relationship with the team leader who will oversee that all the daily requirements are met.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operate machinery involved in highly repetitive and routine functions whereas the equipment is highly automated performing such tasks such as riveting, staking, and assembling.
Remove filled tubes from tube trays, visually check for complete fill, cap tubes, pack in boxes, with prescribed discs and label. Use SPC to record tube weights.
Position parts, actuate machine controls, and visually check work for properly riveted parts and obvious defects such as incorrect hole size, cracked rivets, stripped threads, or improper alignment.
Perform bench assembly operation and use fixed gauges.
Work from drawings, route sheets, written, and verbal instructions.
Report faulty equipment, defective material and unusual conditions to supervisor.
Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or equivalent is required. Additional experience, training or formal education is beneficial.
Manufacturing experience preferred.
Strong troubleshooting skills necessary, with the ability to make informed decisions.
Good organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast-paced; multi-tasking environment and meet operational deadlines.
Must be self-motivated, safety and quality conscious, and work efficiently with minimal supervision.
Heavy lifting required (50 plus lbs). Lift truck operator experience required.
Good communication skills with the ability to work in a team environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Comply with all policies, guidelines and regulatory requirements per the KMS Quality/Manufacturing/Safety/HR Systems.
Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs).
Follow detailed assembly instructions, processes and procedures to perform the manual assembly of membrane parts.

Needle Assembly Set-up Operators will be responsible for production on their designated lines as well as maintaining machine run-time and performing some mechanical repairs. They may be trained on any of the processes or lines in the department to help fill production needs, but will have an assigned focus area to build expertise.
