The Assistant Store Manager helps maintain a clean, well-organized store with a customer-first focus. At the direction and delegation of the Store Manager, the Assistant Store Manager assists with supervision of store employees, management and presentation of merchandise, completion of paperwork, and preparation of deposits. JD and Master's degree from an ALA-accredited school of library and/or information studies required.
Must possess a very strong service ethic, and the ability to blend harmoniously with colleagues and the law school and university communities.
Candidate must demonstrate deep and broad knowledge of legal research sources and be skilled at using print and electronic materials. Interest in empirical legal research preferred.
Candidate must have at 3-5 years of experience in a relevant library setting with evidence of capacity to work at a high level of responsibility or a combination of education and relevant experience.
Experience managing research service in a fast-paced law library setting is strongly preferred.
Demonstrated deep knowledge of relevant aspects of library operations including understanding of contemporary library practices, trends and emerging technologies.

Occasionally stand/walk, reach/work above shoulders, writing by hand, kneel/crawl, climb (ladders, scaffolds, or other).
Rarely use a telephone, operate hand controls.
Must be able to push and maneuver a fully-loaded cart weighing up to 650 pounds that requires an initial push force up to 50 pounds.
