Crusher Mechanics will perform routine maintenance as well as minor and major repairs on all the equipment in the aggregate stock fleet. They will be responsible for examining the equipment when it is in for scheduled service to determine additional service needs. This position is located in our Florence, AZ Shop and requires travel.
Perform regular scheduled service to all aggregate, mining and other equipment.
Perform major repairs when needed to aggregate, mining and other equipment.
Communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written) with coworkers, even in high stress situations.
Document and discuss with supervisor any major repairs that are discovered.
Maintain an orderly work area.
Safely and properly perform maintenance (lubricating, fueling and cleaning) on loader, crusher, screen and/or wash plant including screen changes and routine maintenance.
Document all service work done to equipment.
Personal protective equipment is required when performing this work, such as hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, protective clothing, gloves and other protective equipment as required by law.
Work can be in a mine or plant setting which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity, and moving mechanical parts.
Mechanics are expected to supply personal tools.
May need to attend additional training sessions with different equipment manufacturers.
Other duties as assigned.
Applicant must be at least 18 years old.
Minimum of 1 year previous crusher mechanic experience.
Must hold an M.S.H.A. 5000-23 certificate.
Part 46 and 48 Mining Certified.
Willing to work in a team environment.
Mechanical schooling preferred but willing to train.
Previous welding experience preferred.

Crusher Maintenance Tech 1
The Maintenance Tech is responsible for the performance of the following duties in a safe and productive manner:
Perform the Oilers duties, daily lubrication tasks on all mobile equipment
Perform regularly scheduled PM services and have knowledge of any and all current lubricants being used
Complete preventive maintenance inspections of mobile and fixed equipment
Maintain service equipment such as service trucks, fuel pumps, lubricant systems and other equipment needed to perform required duties
Repair, rebuild and maintain equipment such as loaders, trucks, cranes, motor graders bulldozers, pumps, conveyors, jaw and cone crushers
Dismantle and reassemble mobile, fixed and crushing equipment with some supervision
Examine parts for damage or excessive wear
Perform troubleshooting and adjustments to all hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical (24V) equipment, mobile and fixed
Replace defective engines and subassemblies, such as transmissions. Tests overhauled equipment to ensure operating efficiency
Weld together metal components as specified by layout, blueprint, work order or oral instruction
Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical or overhead position
Cut metal plate or structural shapes, hard surface and air arcs
Background and Education:
- 1-3 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance
Follow all procedures and safety measures to assure safe production
Work in all conditions and environments, approximately 80% of job is outdoors
Able to lift 75 lbs. on a continuous basis
Able to walk up and down slopes and uneven ground daily
Work as a team member and communicate openly with others

DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform daily equipment, walk around and site inspections to identify and correct any unsafe conditions and keep equipment properly maintained.
Safely and properly perform maintenance (lubricating, fueling and cleaning) on loader, crusher, screen and/or wash plant – including screen changes, manganese and routine maintenance.
Safely and properly operate loader and crusher, screen or wash plant.
May be required to operate additional company vehicle during crusher tear down, moves and set up. Identify appropriate material to produce quality aggregate material per job specifications.
Communicate with quality control personnel and make required adjustments to material blends.
Shovel excess material away from crusher, screen or wash plant unit as needed.
May conduct quality control sample testing.
Communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written) and work with difficult people under high stress situations. Self-motivated, team-player with good interpersonal skills; ability to maintain positive customer relations and act courteous/respectful of others.
Troubleshoot and problem solve situations/problems (material quality, equipment operation/repair, etc.). Monitor and discuss production problems with co-workers and managers/supervisors.
Proven experience handling multiple projects and priorities while maintaining tight deadlines; highly organized with attention to detail.
Accurately complete crushing reports and other documentation as needed.
Ensure MSHA, EPA, DNR, safety and environmental regulation compliance.
Operate skidster to clean up around equipment
Performs other duties as assigned.

General education, grammar and arithmetic, GED or high school diploma or equivalent

About the role
Rio Tinto Kennecott Copper, in Salt Lake City, Utah is searching for a Principal Advisor – Project Controls to lead scheduling and cost controls for the execution of a gyratory crusher move at Bingham Canyon Mine. The role reports to the Manager of the Projects Governance team.
The role will primarily be involved in directing and leading the scheduling and cost controls of projects from initiation to completion. Has a focus of achieving objectives through the development and control of project schedules and budgets. The role also includes:
Responsibility of forecasting costs and reporting progress for departmental managed projects along with developing and maintaining controls systems.
Ensuring that appropriate governance is being followed
Supervision and direction of scheduling and cost controls professionals as needed
Occasional contribution to process improvements and department initiatives
To succeed in this role, you will have:
Bachelor Degree or equivalent
10 to 15 years of progressively responsible experience and applied knowledge in project scheduling and cost controls is required
Sound knowledge of scheduling and cost controls systems, principles and practices
Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience with computer system applications, including Word, Excel, MS Project, Primavera, Prism.
It will also be beneficial if you have:
Broad understanding of project management, program management, project governance, risk management, cost estimating, change management and project controls.

You will have the pleasure of leading and managing members of a strong Multi-disciplined team which provides underlying component manufacturing, disassembly, assembly, and materials stewardship capabilities within the Strategic Missile Defense Systems department. You will be responsible for day-to-day improvement activities, mid to long range strategy, and ensuring production will be fit and ready to support our customers' needs. You will exhibit strengths in leadership, communication (both oral and written), and presentation/organizational skills by communicating with employees, managers, and customers maintaining sustainable working relationship.
Summary of Key Duties for this position:
You will be engaged in the role of a First Line Leader supporting the manufacturing team; Demonstrate Full Spectrum Leadership imperatives of deliver results, shape the future, build effective relationships, energize the team, and model personal excellence.
You have primary responsibility for the daily execution of your assigned workforce - to include direct accountability for cost, schedule, and quality performance.
You drive continuous improvement and development of technical competencies, talent, and performance; assisting with performance evaluations.
Provide a safe work environment; identifying and correcting unsafe conditions in timely manner.
You maintain effective oversight and management of the team, team building, and individual team member development; establishing a baseline of technician skills and establish cross-training plans to maximize workforce capacity.
Prioritize production orders and assign daily tasks. Ensure shop activities are resourced properly and that we are working towards efficient processes.
You drive, track, and manage all WIP in the work-cell and help eliminate obstacles that prevent the steady flow of hardware on the floor.
Assess manufacturing/test performance to accomplish cost, schedule, and quality objectives for the production manufacturing areas.
You communicate regularly with manufacturing/Test leadership, program leadership, functional leadership, and support personnel.
Ensure employees and leadership comply with defined core processes and defined processes that are program specific.
Able to work off shifts, overtime and non-standard work weeks as needed to meet product deliveries.
Appropriate degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education, with professional experience and specialized training commensurate with assignment.
