Must be able to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications and in a timely fashion.
Ability to organize and manage multiple assignments with special attention to accuracy & detail.
MUST BE RELIABLE, Work well with others, self-motivated, team oriented and a problem solver
Strong mechanical aptitude required
Machine assembly experience a plus

Knock-Off Grinder - NS (Fl91#09-18)
The primary responsibility of this position is to grind castings to meet new specifications and quality standards. The individual must be able to work under close supervision and may be asked to perform Knockoff job duties as needed. Responsibilities cited below are considered essential job functions: Principal
Duties & Responsibilities:
Adhere to established safety procedures and 5 “ S ” standards (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize and Sustain the cycle) required to perform daily duties in this position, including the proper techniques used in lifting/moving of parts
Remove castings from molds by activating Shaker machine (on/off button); attends Shaker to ensure smooth flow of castings through the machine by utilizing hook, pulling test bars from machine and placing them in separate container
Load Pangborn machine by utilizing forklift to lift tub of castings and placing tub in Pangborn; activates machine (on/off button)
Break and saw off risers from castings by using an air cannon, sledge hammer and/or cut off saw
Separate castings from scrap
Sort castings into pairs or groups as castings pass in front of operator on Shaker; place castings by part number in tubs as instructed by Supervisor
Dress castings by removing gates, spurs and other projections from castings with “Big Wheel” or “Pencil” grinder
Move equipment, sand, castings, flasks or other materials in Foundry by hand, cart, overhead crane or forklift
Place or stack materials in proper location
Strictly observe safety rules and procedures
- Other duties as assigned; required being very flexible in their daily job assignments; cross-training in Knockoff job duties is a must to ensure this flexibility. Skills/

Reel Builder / Grinder Operator, Days
SUMMARY OF FUNCTION: To build reels to keep extrusion lines supplied.
DUTIES AND REPSPONSIBILITIES: * Reviews the production schedule and determines the reels required to maintain production on the shift.
Brings returned reels from reel return area to the lines for re-use, using a forklift.
Paints and stencils any returned wood reels that do not meet appearance requirements. Reels must be painted and stenciled before they can be used on the extrusion lines.
Builds/Assembles any reels not available from the return reel inventory required to maintain production.
Grinds line scrap from extrusion.
Maintains a neat and orderly work area.
Follows all safety requirements for the position and all company safety guidelines.
Completes appropriate paperwork to ensure accurate inventory transactions.
Performs any other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Memorizes and recites the Dura-line Quality Policy. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: * Basic math and measurement skills required.

Can safely operate and change the blade on a band saw.
Can work independently in a highly physical environment.
Operator will go through vinyl burn training and how it involves the grinder process.
Understand the safety needs of the process and work within the parameters defined to protect the equipment, facility and coworkers.
Identify problems and implement fixes for common issues with the use of AMS tools and standards for continuous improvement concepts, and work with the support staff, management and maintenance on corrective action to resolve.
Rotate as required through multiple jobs.
Knowledge of product, process and customer’s expectations within the value streams (upstream and downstream of the process).
Support and participate in Employee Engagement activities.
Support respectful workplace.
Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Understands the importance of both daily and end of week clean-ups ## Qualifications High school diploma or GED.
Basic computer skills. * PIT training / fork license required for some tasks.

Sets up and operates a variety of machine tools, specifically CNC OD/ID Grinders. Additional set up and operating expereince with manual and CNC milling machines, CNC lathe and engine lathes, honing, and lapping preferred.
Interprets blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications; determines sequence of operations, number of cuts required, and method of setup; uses a variety of machinist's hand tools and precision measuring instruments; makes standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work, tooling, feeds, and speeds; measures, marks, and scribes dimensions and reference points to lay out stock for machining; fits and assembles precision parts into mechanical equipment and determines material, parts, and equipment required. Some machines may be numerically controlled. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures and certify/test product.
