Follow complicated startup procedure of equipment.
Monitoring raw whey flow into balance tank, through pasteurizer and to evaporator for condensing and then ultimately to a crystallizer tank for drying into dried Sweet Dairy Whey powder production.
Regulating factors such as whey solids, and temperature and making adjustments depending on the type of whey to be produced.
Taking frequent readings and logging upwards of fifty variables.
Operating Clean In Place (CIP) cycles.
Troubleshooting and maintenance of machinery.
Cleaning and sanitation of all parts of Whey Evaporator department including walls, floors, and equipment.
Assisting all other coworkers with tasks and duties within the department.

May operate end line baler and slug accumulator. Removes all bales and loads them onto trailer. Removes/replaces accumulation boxes for slugs, and weighs and tags accumulation boxes for shipment.
May restack and load empty coil pallets for return to aluminum suppliers.
May prepare for shipment returnable drums, totes, and vendor return loads.
Performs clean-up, painting, and housekeeping duties.
Initiates, reviews, and follows all standard operating procedures (SOPs) for area of responsibility.
May be required to rotate among specific operator assignments within the department as needed. Relieves operators for breaks.
Supplies and maintains required hand tools.
