Electrical Engineer - Battery & Charger Design

Duties and Responsibilities: Create test regimens for components and assemblies within scope of the project and organization. Track projects to ensure adherence to schedule and the Milwaukee process.
Schedule, develop agendas for, facilitate and document technical meetings and formal presentations. Draw concise, logical, written conclusions from experiments based on data analysis. Develop and maintain familiarity and understanding of Milwaukee's development and manufacturing processes while identifying and driving continuous improvement projects.
Work with and establish trusting relationships with engineers throughout Asia and the world. Design, prototype, test and troubleshoot embedded electronics including hardware and firmware. Use laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, e-loads and data acquisition systems.
Design to and qualify new designs to applicable regulatory standards such as UL, CEC, CE and ANSI. Provide engineering support on low to mid-level complexity projects. Battery & Charger Design:
Design, prototype and test switched mode power supplies and lithium-ion batteries containing embedded electronics including hardware and firmware under the supervision of senior engineers. Troubleshoot switched mode power supply and lithium-ion battery embedded electronics down to the component level. Develop and apply a manufacturing mindset to designs in order to effectively and efficiently mass produce products.
Education and Experience
Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar field. 2+ years of experience in related design field. Excellent problem solving skills and a hands-on attitude.
High proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel and Power Point. Ability to travel 10% of the time is required (travel includes Domestic and International). High interest in tools of the trade. Good understanding of C programming, especially relating to microcontroller peripherals and related development tools and processes.
Good understanding of analog and digital system tradeoffs and design, especially related to signal integrity and noise analysis. Familiarity with using schematic capture, PCB layout software, SPICE and knowledge of industry best practices. Battery & Charger Design Application and evaluation of microcontrollers.
Working knowledge of communications protocols (e.g., SPI, I2C, serial, USB). Familiarity of switched mode power supplies including EMC, magnetics, and power semiconductors preferred. Understanding of lithium-ion charging principles and the tradeoffs between the pack and charger preferred. Understanding of lithium ion pack discharging behavior and controls preferred. Description/Job Summary Under the supervision of the Melt Supervisor, performs various tasks within the Melt Department in the preparation of iron for molding operations per written and verbal process directions in a safe, efficient, and quality manner. Responsibilities/Duties 1. Melt employees perform tasks within the department, such as, preparation of cupola charges per process card information, powered crane operation, cupola and furnace operation, addition of additives and alloys, and general labor per department needs. 2.
May use various tools, such as, cranes, hammers, air hammers, thermometers, scales, and any other tool needed to perform required tasks. 3. Melt employees must follow all written and verbal safety and quality guidelines and procedures pertaining to the specific area as set forth by supervision and the Company. 4. Work areas must be kept clear of hazards and cleaned and prepared for the next shift at the end of the workday. 5.
Melt workers need to perform maintenance tasks on the cupola and modern induction furnace such as chipping out and relining, rebricking, spraying and ladle repair. These duties are usually done during non-production hours (weekends). 6. Inform supervisor of any operational and/or quality problems during operation. 7. Additional duties as may be required. PURPOSE OF THE JOB The Operator I Utility position is the operations expert for the packaging process. The employee works with other Packaging Operators to coordinate the duties to be accomplished across the entire packaging area with set-ups, operation, adjustments for packaging equipment, observation of weight distribution, proper curing, circumference and facing.
Also assists cupola area when needed. This role will also ensure that the quality and quantity of packaged goods conforms to the company’s standards. Responsibilities As an ARTILLERY REPAIRER
, WG-6605-10, you will perform maintenance on the electrical system of the turrets. Repair the stabilization control systems, circuit breakers, distribution boxes, cables, and wiring system, points and all other electrical components in the turret.
Test and repair electrical test sets that are used to test the electrical systems of the tank turret. Repair the hydraulic system, which provides the pressure to elevate and traverse the gun and rotate the turret. Repair all mechanical parts involved in turret traversing, such as the traversing gearbox including the clutch assembly, and turret races including cupola bearings.
Service the gun by exercising the recoil system to check for leaks in the seals. May also work on ITVs, howitzers, and other less complex equipment. Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Background for Candidates
Education: 4 year university degree
Experience: 2+ years of relevant professional experience working in A&A or EV related industries
Strong operational and technical knowledge of EV fleet and required infrastructure. Robust understanding of vehicle life-cycle management (e.g. battery testing, hardware/software checks). Solid knowledge of operations and procurement processes and practices.
Excellent project management skills with the ability to build & maintain efficient daily, monthly, quarterly operations processes.Strong technical; desire to expand knowledge in EV space. Solid analytic thinking & problem solving skills; ability to anticipate and independently resolve issues; ability to work collaboratively and proactively contribute new ideas; strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Typical job responsibilities
- Responsible for fleet lifecycle management in assigned micro-markets, including:
- Regular fleet inspection to ensure fleet is in excellent condition
- Vehicle maintenance (battery changes, car washes, etc.)
- Recall process management
- Accident reporting process and post accident vehicle management
- Vehicle in-fleet and de-fleet for disposition
- Work closely with Community Coordinator to ensure timely EV & charger set up to property launch
- Assist GM in RFP and vendor selection process for fleet lifecycle management (e.g. car wash vendors, maintenance and repair shops)
- Work with CC to conduct spot checks on Envoy hardware functionality, escalate issues to GM & IT
- Responsible for EV infrastructure management, including:
- PO placement and tracking of EV chargers
- Coordination of charger installation with appropriate third party suppliers and property managers
- EV charger testing
- Coordination of EV charger maintenance / repair
- Assist GM with EV charger RFP and SLA buildout
- Develop and regularly ensure supplier quality and compliance to Envoy SLAs, escalate supplier issues to GM or Head of Operations

EE or ME degree
Experience with EV Chargers, DC preferably, and troubleshooting charger operation issues
Familiarity with Electric/Electronic components, Circuit breakers, Fuses, Capacitors, PC boards, relays, and also common troubleshooting practices for such devices.
Microsoft Office skills required (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
Baan accounting software experience a plus, but only for PO and Sales order entry. No accounting background required. Basic Baan software training will be provided.
Excellent telephone and written skills for customer inquiries and troubleshooting of problems in the field via telephone and email.
This position will report to the Operations Manager and will be responsible for handling initial customer calls and emails reporting troubles with EV Chargers installed around the country. In-house training will be provided for troubleshooting the chargers and position will work closely with the Operations Manager and Lead Test Technician for the first several weeks.
This position will be responsible for keeping all Charger issues registered and for keeping track of the troubleshooting steps until resolution
Responsibilities will also include PO and Sales Order entry into the accounting system software
Position will also be responsible for handing initial sales inquiries and routing them the appropriate person.
Some heavy lifting and standing may be required.
Some domestic field travel via airplane will be required. International European travel will be required for training purposes at the factory.

POSITION SUMMARY: The position of Shuttle Driver is responsible for transporting passengers from one site location to another site location per designated route or passenger request. This position must work closely with other drivers and provide transportation services to individuals at designated locations.
- Operate bus on daily assigned route
- Maintain schedule of stops (where appropriate) for assigned route
- Pick up and deliver passengers
- Abide by established route and times for assigned route
- Respond to cell-phone calls for service and/or other purposes
- Always assume the role of ambassador for GDS Transport when dealing with passengers and others; remain courteous and avoid any behavior that could be taken as being objectionable by passengers or others.
- Do not argue, listen to complaints and observations with an open mind
- Gather passenger counts and other statistics as directed
- Inform Supervisor/Manager of any and all unusual services (damage to property, those involving TI or other passengers/persons, passenger complaints, etc.), then complete Incident Report before leaving for the day
- Immediately notify Supervisor and Manager of any and all motor vehicle accidents – complete all required forms before to leaving for the day
- Immediately take photographs of any MVA and complete all required forms before leaving for the day . Follow specific requirements of MVA procedure.
- Remain alert for mechanical, electrical or other defects/malfunctions with any vehicle – report such items to Supervisor when they occur or when first encountered, and complete and turn in written notification of the problem
- Obey all Customer and Company operating rules; obey local and State traffic ordinances and laws when operating on public streets
- Come to a complete STOP and observe before crossing any railroad tracks
- Immediately report to Supervisor all convictions of traffic law violations
- Connect cell-phone to charger as needed, but always at end of shift
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
•Must have and maintain a valid and current Texas Class "B" operator's license with a passenger endorsement
•Must have experience driving a 24-32 passenger Shuttle
•Must have 2 continuous and recent years of professional driving experience in a bus or other vehicle used to transport persons.
•Must be professional and have a positive attitude at all times.
•Must be able to read and write English.
•Must be free of health issues that would interfere with ability to provide and maintain safe, effective service level to persons and equipment.
