Maintains all development project records to support traceability.

Responsible for the Lab Department and all subordinate functions including but not limited to the mixing department.
Coordinates Compound Testing requirements as required by specification.
Coordinates with purchasing to obtain quotes and order necessary outside testing requirements.
Performs training of direct reports as required in the areas of testing, methods, policies & procedures, and safety.
Performs physical properties testing as required.
Keeps abreast of testing methods and their changes per documented ASTM testing specifications.
Keeps abreast of industry material specifications to assure material requirements are current.
Documents test results as required by specification
Maintains all testing documentation for traceability purposes

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

10 plus years’ experience managing a staff in a rubber manufacturing laboratory with complete knowledge of rubber testing methods and procedures.
Familiar with both Silicone and Organic compounding science
Read and write English
Strong working knowledge of MS Word and familiarity with ERP systems

The "certification" must be signed by, or by direction of, the adjutant, personnel officer, or commander of your unit or higher headquarters and must indicate when your terminal leave will begin (if applicable), your rank, dates of active duty service, the type of discharge and character of service (i.e. honorable). Further, under paragraph (h) of the rule, agencies are required to verify a qualifying separation from military service prior to appointment, through the DD-214 or other appropriate documentation.
