The Oven Tender is responsible for the scoring and baking of our products. Candidates must be able to coordinate the products according to specifications and company guidelines. Successful candidates will have experience in the production environment operating ovens.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Follow BRC, HACCP and GMP guidelines when at work
Records required data and communicates any issues
Ensures Oven area is kept clean according to company guidelines
Follows all personal and food safety rules

FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform somewhat diversified duties to dewax and cure molds following established methods and procedures.
Work from casting schedules and / or instructions to obtain molds from storage, move to ovens and load. Use fork lift and Taurus as necessary.
Start ovens, pumps, compressors and blowers.
Set and control temperatures for melt-out and curing cycles required. Maintain continuing check on oven temperatures and other requirements to assure compliance with time-temperature cycles and cooling routines as specified for the various mold and investment types.
Assist in unloading ovens and in other duties related to pouring operations in all areas such as positioning molds, removing molds after pouring, moving molds to cooling area. Exercise care in handling molds to avoid damage.
Detect faulty operations, defective material and report these and any unusual conditions to supervisor.
SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Must comply with all applicable safety requirements, policies and procedures, while maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly work environment.
Must participate in required training, medical monitoring, safety, and health evaluations and programs.
Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in all designated areas of facility.

Curing Quality Assistant(Cqa) 2Nd. & 3Rd. Shifts
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES
EXPERIENCE IS A MUST....TO BE CONSIDERED
2nd. & 3rd. shift availability
Reduce flash and scrap produced by the molding operation
Examine molds for damage
Blocking damaged cavities
Daily verify and optimize shot volume and injection time to reduce both flash and short shots
Recommend permanent changes to curing condition sheets per results of optimizations on both vertical and horizontal presses
Check mold vent and vacuum lines for wear and damage
Verify and recommend vacuum and bumping settings
Drill out rubber venting holes in molds
Remove expired special condition sheets
Replace baskets of rubber as needed throughout the shift (forklift license required)
Mold releasing molds
Perform in press cleaning of molds as needed
Minor mold repairs
Assist PE with mold improvements
Testing mold balance
Mold changes (vertical & horizontal)
Issuing special condition sheets
JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Ability to operate with minimum supervision
Posses an above average mechanical aptitude or technical understanding
Ability to carry out assigned projects and oversee projects to their completion; ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Ability to safety operate a forklift.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School education or equivalent.
Two (2) years experience in a manufacturing environment.
Previous setup, maintenance or machine shop experience a plus

This position will require an individual who takes pride and ownership in his/her work, and is willing to accept total responsibility for the performance of the oven operation on his/her shift. This individual’s key role is to manage the oven and depanning equipment on their shifts to meet our product quality specifications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Sets oven controls to specified temperature and bake times. Adjust controls as necessary to maintain the proper product specifications.
Manages the oven profile temperatures during production gaps to eliminate overbaked product from the oven.
Monitors the product for the desired proof size and shape. Notifies the plant supervisor via radio when the product is out of specification.
Maintains log sheets as necessary that are required for Quality Assurance.
Reports equipment problems to Supervisor and maintenance personnel.

No Previous experience required. Position qualifies for Production Incentive Bonus Program from date of hire. Opportunity to earn up to $1.00 per hour in bonuses.
Removes insulated glass units from oven and arranges in harp carts. Cleans equipment, floors, and work areas according to safety procedures.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Understanding the correct operation of a roto-molding machine.
Understanding and complying with the Production Schedule.

Heat Treat Oven Operator
Harrison Steel has an opening on first shift in its finishing operations for a Heat Treat Furnace Operator. Using large furnaces to heat up steel castings to between 600-1800 degrees Fahrenheit allows us to achieve the correct properties our customers require. This position operates a fork truck and overhead hoist to load and unload large steel castings into our furnaces. Normal duties involve:
Safely loading and unloading castings on a trolley hoist
Quenching castings into a water tank by hooking, dipping, and unhooking castings
Recording heat treatment activities on a computer
Assisting in routine furnace maintenance

Follow all safety procedures.
Safely and efficiently operate the Heat Treatment Oven(s) according to operating procedures, and/or as instructed
Follow product documentation and specification for correct equipment operation (Ex.: temperature, power, speed settings).
Visually inspect product appearance while equipment is running; communicating, flagging major defects and/or removing minor defects.
Follow product documentation (traveler) for correct tension setting, length measurement and removal. Record data as required.
Unload Aerogel blankets, label and document according to procedures.
Safely and efficiently operate Fabrication equipment (slitter, CNC and laminator) according to company procedures, and/or as instructed.
Program, run and troubleshoot CNC cutting machine, slitting machines, edge trimmers and coating machines. .
Perform material handling duties in a safe, conscientious manner.
Perform preventive maintenance and routine cleaning on equipment as per procedures and/or as directed by the Shift Leader.
Dispose of waste materials according to company procedures.
Ensure blanket samples (quality coupons) are taken as per specification and provided to Quality Control
Follow instructions as per company policy and Shift leader instructions including proper breaks, rest periods and attendance
Attend pre-shift meetings that occur five minutes prior to shift change Communicate all equipment issues to shift leader
Ensure exhaust system is operational and working area is organized and clean
