Aluminum Product Manager
In response to rapid growth of our aluminum business and as part of our strategy to better serve customers, we currently have an opening for a world class Product Manager, Aluminum.
The Product Manager, Aluminum will be tasked with managing all aspects of aluminum program and growing that business and will be accountable for the P&L statement of that product line. The person in this high-visibility position will partner with key business leaders to drive relevant improvements across procurement, inventory, operations and sales.
- Own the P&L for the aluminum business.
- Build commercial aluminum strategy with managers to grow existing accounts, penetrate new customers and markets, and launch new products.

Sheet Metal Mechanic
- Work a full range of aircraft sheet metal duties including, but not limited to, disassemble, modify, repair and reassemble complex aircraft metal items & systems, including bulkheads, airframe spars, wing scoops, flaps, fuselages, skins, ribs, gussets and internal and external fuel tanks.
Candidate must be intimately familiar with all associate pneumatic and power riveting tools and sheet metal tools
Analyze and evaluate structural damage to metal system and items
Develop patterns using a combination of parallel and radial line development
Fabricate, install, and repair a variety of items and systems made from a wide variety of metals, e.g., stainless steel, copper sheet, magnesium, honeycomb, alloys, aluminum etc.
Replace sections and patch old systems
Cut, bend, shape, and form metals for items that have numerous irregular angles, planes and curves with varying pitch and circumference
Use a variety of assembly joints, complex fastening systems, riveted or welded joints
Drill or punch holes
Assemble or repair items by seaming, soldering, bolting, screwing, riveting, tacking and spot welding
User precision measuring instruments such as calipers, protractors, snap ring, height, depth, dial and screw pitch gauges, squares, rulers, trammel points and sine bars

The position of Sheet Metal Superintendent is a skilled role, in which the Sheet metal Superintendent is responsible for overseeing the daily activities of multiple Sheetmetal service crews. The Sheet metal Superintendent will be responsible for ensuring Sheetmetal systems & flashings are built with the highest degree of quality, in the safest and most cost-effective manner. This position works closely with Sheet Metal foreman to ensure that all the necessary work gets done as safe and efficient as possible.
Responsibilities of the Sheet Metal Superintendent include:
Communicate daily with assigned site foremen to ensure production expectations are achieved and all barriers to success are removed through coordination of additional resources or communication with the client and other trades
Ensure that all Sheetmetal operations on each project comply with and adhere to Flynns safety and health policies
Proactively determine equipment needs on site and coordinate their delivery
Communicate issues and delays to management and others
Coordinate crew composition and manpower requirements with management
Make the hiring and separation decisions with the assistance of the applicable foreman of field employees through interviews, performance reviews, and termination meetings
Prior to site mobilization, review any questions or concerns on the drawings and details with the PM and ensure all information is passed along to the site foremen and other required parties regarding start up, direction of work, efficient job site setup, production expectations and installation methods
Communicate material order and delivery times between Project Management and site foremen
Schedule off-loading and crane requirements
Assist project management with the consumables list for the project
Work with the foreman and Project Management to get accurate field measurements for submittal to Drafting
Work with the foreman and PM to ensure Flynn follows a QA/QC Program.
Work with the foreman to identify any potential extras to the contract Pass on the info to the PM for pursuit

8-10 Years Sheetmetal Experience in a supervisory capacity within the Commercial Sheetmetal Industry with standing seam commercial Sheetmetal, metal panel installation and roof related Sheetmetal flashings.

Attends meetings and in-service presentations for the purpose of acquiring and/or conveying information relative to job functions.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
SKILLS are required to perform multiple tasks with a potential need to upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions. Specific skill-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: adhering to safety practices; operating standard office equipment including using pertinent software applications; preparing and maintaining accurate records.
KNOWLEDGE is required to perform basic math, including calculations using fractions, percents, and/or ratios; read a variety of manuals, write documents following prescribed formats, and/or present information to others; and understand complex, multi-step written and oral instructions. Specific knowledge-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: instructional procedures and practices; age appropriate student activities; safety practices and procedures; conflict resolution; and stages of child development/ behavior.
ABILITY is required to schedule activities; gather and/or collate data; and use basic, job-related equipment. Flexibility is required to work with others in a wide variety of circumstances; work with data utilizing defined but different processes; and operate equipment using standardized methods. Ability is also required to work with a diversity of individuals and/or groups; work with a variety of data; and utilize a variety of job-related equipment. Problem solving is required to identify issues and create action plans. Problem solving with data may require independent interpretation; and problem solving with equipment is moderate. Specific ability-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: adapting to changing work priorities; communicating with diverse groups; maintaining confidentiality; working as part of a team; and working with constant interruptions.
Responsibilities include: working under direct supervision using standardized procedures; leading, guiding, and/or coordinating others; and operating within a defined budget. Utilization of some resources from other work units may be required to perform the job's functions. There is a continual opportunity to have some impact on the organization's services.
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: significant lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some climbing and balancing; some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 50% sitting, 25% walking, and 25% standing. The job is performed under conditions with some exposure to risk of injury and/or illness and in a clean atmosphere.
