Rotary Die Cutter Operator
Rate: $19.00 - $21.50 per hour
Responsible for all activities associated with running the rotary die cutters including setup, operation, cleanup, and recommending improvements to operations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Must be proficient in English and have the ability to read and follow instructions on factory masters.
Able to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy. Able to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, measurement.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or graphic form. Ability to deal with problems involving one or more concrete variables in standardized situations.
The individual must have a working knowledge of the following:
Equipment design and capabilities that can be translated into efficient operation.
Product layouts and production specifications
Product quality specifications

Break and Shear and CNC Machine Operators will be responsible for daily set up and operation of mechanical and CNC controlled shears, ironworkers, break press, and punch press. The purpose of this position is to insure proper grade and diameter material is pulled from inventory and distributed to the shears and band saws based on information contained on work orders. In addition this position will also assist in maintaining an accurate raw material inventory.
Will set up and operate manual shear, automatic shear and band saws. Key Accountabilities: Using an overhead crane to unload incoming steel and locate as needed.
Set-up and operate all equipment in the shear area used to cut material to length. Perform and document all quality checks and shear logs for all orders. Change or replace shear dies, saw blades and cutting tools as required to insure cut end of acceptable quality.
