Also included is intensive training in reading and interpreting music from both a traditionally notated score and a chord-symbol notated lead sheet. Special focus is placed upon stylistic interpretation, improvisational skills, and overall performance skills as applied to contemporary musical styles. An ideal candidate is well versed in jazz, popular, and classical music styles.
The candidate should be an excellent woodwind specialist, experienced educator and effective administrator with a background of successful employment in a collegiate setting. Thorough understanding of all contemporary musical styles and national recognition as a musician are essential. A Master's degree or equivalent professional experience is required. This is a twelve-month position with a renewable contract. The start date for the position is September 1, 2018, or earlier depending on availability.

Helpremove the make-ready plate & die (approx. 180 lbs.) by pulling them out ofmachine, lifting up, and lowering to the floor. The make-ready plate & die are located 48 inches high from thefloor, and must be pulled out of the machine 51 inches.
Helpreplace the die with a different die pattern.
Helpremove the support plate, which weighs approx. 10-20 lbs.
Helpremove the pin cylinder, change pins if broken, and replace cylinder inmachine. Pin cylinder is located 50inches high from the floor and weighs approx. 136 lbs.
Helpadjust blank support wires by tightening adjustment screw, which are located 50inches from the floor and approx. 34 inches toward the center of the machine.
Changethe cutter gears by squatting down on your knees, using a 2 ¼" open-end wrenchto loosen, then lift out. Replace withthe correct cutter gear.
Helpclean blanks out of machine by reaching about 32 inches toward the middle ofthe machine at a height of approx. 50 inches and removing rejected blanks.
Helpre-install make-ready plate and die, approx. 180 lbs., by lifting from thefloor.
Helpchange Transfer Plate.
Assist the operator to feed new board through themachine as follows:
Helpoperator flip roll stands, moving empty roll away and placing new roll inposition.
Helpoperator manually turn the new roll for two rounds, cut board off square, tapenew roll to the end of the old roll by reaching approx. 38 inches across themachine.
Helpfeed the roll through the machine after it is turned on. If the board breaks, the operator must handfeed the machine, approx. 55 inches high, by guiding the board over the rolls. Sometimes the helper may be required to climbon top of the machine to feed the board through the rolls.
Afterthe operator has turned the machine on for a production run, proceed asfollows: Help to set delivery wheels and catch wheel by reaching approx. 30inches in from the edge of the machine using a wrench to tighten the deliverywheel at a height of approx. 50 inches. Assist in the inspection of the product coming off the machine to assurethat quality standards are maintained.
Handleand stack the product as follows: Pick up bundles weighing between approx. 19& 58 lbs. from a 45 inch high machine table, turn 90 degrees, and walk to pallet,stoop down, and stack boxes per the Stacking Procedure. Pallet height begins 30 inches off the floorand the product is stacked up to 65 inches high.
Follow all instructions that are issued on the workjacket and advise the foreman of any incorrect of non-recorded information thatis necessary for proper set-up and operation.
Adhere to the food safety standards per SCT's AIBcertification requirements.
Maintain a safe, clean and orderly working area.
Adjust to, and follow, new procedures andinnovations, which would add to the efficiency and safety of the operation.

Summary/Objective: The Cutting Operator position is responsible for the safe, efficient operation of various cutting machinery needed to cut and prepare the finished dough for baking.

Correctly increase/decrease cracker weights and adjust topping weight on products that receive topping. Understand dough characteristics including dry, wet, hot, and cold doughs and how each affect the cutter machinery.
Accurately utilize a tachometer to confirm speeds of conveyors and rollers. Masters understanding of cascade functions. Responsible for shutting down, starting up, slowing down, or speeding up the cutter machinery.
Maintain the proper fill level and understand how the hopper fill level affects the process. Understand the root cause of blisters, fish eyes, and holes in the sheet. Understand the purpose of the cutter belt knives and the scraper.
Operate the machinery to achieve proper cracker dimensions. Properly disassemble, clean, and re-assemble the cutter during a shutdown. Perform changeovers and troubleshoot the line without assistance.
Must be able to train other team members on process/machinery as necessary. Correctly scan toppings using DSI scanners and record topping amounts in computer. Properly inspect rollers and belts for wear and notify supervision of noncompliance.
Understand, observe, and comply with the handling/usage of color-coded container policy. Maintain clean, sanitary work environment and prepare work area for following shift personnel. Possess thorough understanding of all company policies, including GMPs and safety policies.
Communicate effectively with other departments, managers, and other employees. Immediately notify maintenance, line operations or supervision of any repairs or adjustments required. If necessary to use powered industrial equipment, the employee must obtain certification to do so immediately.
The employee may have to arrive earlier/later than normal when start-ups or changeovers to different products occur. Check schedule regularly.
