Benchmark Carbide is a manufacturer of solid carbide end mills and special cutting tools. Benchmark provides tooling solutions to the aerospace, medical, automotive, and energy sectors. Our manufacturing facility is "state of the art" and all our grinding equipment has robot loading capabilities. Our goal is to provide cost savings with automation.
We are seeking an individual that is capable of inspecting round cutting tools (endmills) with different optical measuring equipment (Zoller Genius) to ensure our product is conforming to blueprints. Non-conforming product must then be reported to the CNC machinist and the production manager. This position will report directly to the production manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop, coordinate and execute daily Production inspections to achieve highest quality product.
Drive Continuous Improvement in areas including safety, quality, lead time, and in-process inventory.
Select, train, and ensure optimum performance and support these efforts with production floor employees.
Plan for and monitor the development of staff and self.
Recommend and implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product by participating in Kaizen activities
Identify opportunities for Continuous Improvement, ensure that continuous improvement activities are planned, implemented, measured, reported and reviewed in the respective area of responsibility.
Correct and improve actions in the respective area with regard to employee satisfaction.
Ensure staff is trained and implements all regulatory compliance and all technical competency requirements.
Support the day to day management of staff by team leads to complete assigned tasks.
Analyzes and adjusts work procedures for maximum efficiency.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
3 - 5 years of experience inspecting and executing the activities of a cutting tool manufacturing organization.
High energy and drive to make improvements in a manufacturing environment
Excellent organizational and computer skills.
Ability to understand and implement production and inventory control techniques.
Ability to work successfully in a team environment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Laser Cutting Cell Operator is responsible for setting up and operating all lasers, presses, and additional equipment to create production and sample parts in the low-volume (laser) multi-layered steel (MLS) work centers. The team member is responsible for manufacturing quality parts in a safe and efficient manner by following all safety and quality procedures.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for setting up and operating all lasers and machines in work center.
Assemble and set up both sample and production tooling.
Perform data collection, first articles, and final audits on manufactured products.
Identify process, material and equipment problems on lasers or presses, may trouble shoot equipment problems.
Complete daily production paperwork, including move and completions in Oracle.
Move die sets and emboss tools to tool room for change over using powered hand- truck.
May order gases and maintains a ready supply. (Nitrogen, Helium, and Oxygen).
Follows the Quality Management System requirements as outlined in the process notes on the press card, the applicable QMS procedures and work instructions; suggests ways for continual improvement.
Promptly reports quality problems and shuts down the equipment if unable to resolve.
Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
Follows EHS rules and regulations, participates in safety meetings, and suggests ways for continuous improvement.
Promptly reports personal injuries and unsafe conditions and helps to resolve them.
