The Machine Operator, Laser Cutting sets up and operates laser cutters. The Machine Operator, Laser Cutting reports to the Production Supervisor of the saw cell.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set up, operate and adjust laser to manufacture parts to customer prints or specifications
- Check parts on comparator or using hand tools
- Clean lens on laser if needed
- Perform regular machine maintenance
- Check nozzle quality and centering
- Prove and edit all new programs such as setting focal points, feed rates and making offsets
- Set up, operate and adjust time saver belt sander
- Perform maintenance on belt sander
- May be required to work with Maintenance department to schedule outside machine maintenance when needed
- Assist and train others as needed
- Troubleshoot machines
- Perform weekly housekeeping per 6S schedule
- Perform other duties as required or directed by the Department Supervisor or Lead.
- Lead quality and compliance by utilizing One Orchid global processes and complying with all Quality Management Systems (QMS) documentation requirements and establishing/supporting plan(s) to meet/exceed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for Quality that support Safety, Compliance, Six Sigma Quality, On-Time Delivery (OTD) and financial objectives.
- 1 – 3 years of experience running CNC equipment preferred
- Ability to read blueprints with an understanding of GD&T
- Must be familiar with hand measuring tools (ex. micrometers, calipers, etc.)
- Must be able to operate the machine at the level required for the area. To be certified to a certain level, all skills indicated within that level must be trained, then evaluated by an authorized evaluator and certified complete, unless otherwise noted
- Ability to apply logic and reasoning to solve problems, including identifying strengths/weaknesses, locating alternative solutions and conclusions, and approaches to problems; and making high-quality, timely decisions

Primary Job Function/Duties
Primary responsibility is operating a Versalis machine, making sure that it is run in the most efficient manner.
Responsible for straightness, of cut, correct size, and correct labeling.
Responsible for spreading and cutting fabric in the most economic way.
After cutting, is responsible for labeling and separating the cut fabric and leather.
Responsibility is to cut fabric and leather for seat decks of upholstered furniture and slipcovers.
Must always keep area clean and neat, including placing scraps in recycling bins
Up to 5 years experience in operating a CAD fabric cutting machine for upper-end upholstered furniture
Experience reading and understanding production tickets
Ability to interpret simple cutting instructions commonly placed in a cutting manual
Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment to assure delivery requirements

Meat Cutting Associate
Cleans the Meat Department during the course of normal production work(for example, work surfaces, meat grinders, windows, mirrors, display cases and coolers) while following Company procedures, guidelines, and methods, and utilizing approved chemicals, supplies, tools, and equipment. Provides Meat products to Members by processing meat, which includes, but is not limited to, cutting, slicing, grinding, and wrapping meat (for example, boneless, bone-in) products based on Company specifications, operating, repairing, and sanitizing equipment, assisting Members with purchasing decisions, and ensuring merchandise is properly packaged, labeled, and stored. Provides Member service by acknowledging the Member, identifying their needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving issues and concerns, and promoting the Company's products and services. Maintains merchandise presentation by stocking merchandise, setting up, cleaning, and organizing product displays, removing damaged goods, signing and pricing merchandise appropriately, and securing fragile and high-shrink merchandise. Maintains the Sales Floor in the Meat area in accordance with Company policies and procedures by properly handling claims and returns, zoning the area, arranging and organizing merchandise, and identifying shrink and damages. Receives and stocks merchandise throughout the Facility, and organizes and maintains Facility by following Company procedures, utilizing equipment appropriately, merchandising, and completing paperwork, logs, and other required documentation. Maintains safety of Facility by following all safety standards, procedures, and guidelines including conducting safety sweeps, following proper forklift spotting procedures, following proper procedures for handling and disposing of hazardous materials, following Company steel standard guidelines, and correcting/reporting unsafe situations to Management. Roll Mounter - Web Cutting
RESPONSIBILITY: Under the direction of the foreman, the banding and rebinding of the large scrap boxes and the mounting of paperboard rolls as needed to meet production requirements. This employee may be called on to perform Stock Puller duties in the absence of the Stock Puller.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
It will be the responsibility of the roll mounter to keep rolls mounted on the Mercury and Zerand Cutters.
The roll mounter will pull the rolls from a staging area or from stacks of rolls that have been pancaked in the warehouse.
The roll mounter may be required to take the rolls needed from off a tractor-trailer when necessary to meet production needs.
The roll mounter will be responsible for removing the yellow roll ticket from each roll, dating, initialing the ticket, matching the yellow roll ticket with the white ticket with the same number.
The roll mounter will staple the white and yellow tickets together and hang them on a place provided at the roll stand.
The roll mounter will be responsible for trimming bad layers of board off the roll and trimming out damaged places on the side of the roll in order to help keep the cutter roll mounter roll change down time to a minimum.
It will be the responsibility of the roll mounter to change the roll stands over in order to accommodate the different roll widths.
After each roll stand change, it will be the responsibility of the roll mounter to have the foreman check for proper spacing and bolt tightness before a roll is mounted.
Each roll stand will have instructions on it telling how to properly set the roll stand.
The roll mounter will be responsible for a toolbox and tools assigned to the job.
It will be the responsibility of the roll mounter to empty scrap boxes located throughout the plant as they become full.
The roll mounter will be responsible for putting the roll check off slip in the proper jacket when the last roll is mounted.
The roll mounter will be responsible for keeping the work area clean.
When needed, the roll mounter may be asked to work in the baler room.
This employee must be safety minded, able and willing to understand and follow all written and oral instructions and comply with all company policies and procedures as outlined in the Company Handbook.
Regular attendance and reporting for work on time are necessary requirements.
Availability for overtime work.

Senior level engineer providing programmatic and technical support to Exploration Ground Systems (EGS) C3 Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (SEI&T) as Cross-Cutting GIE, working with Cross-Program (SLS, Orion, ESD), Program, Project/Element, and Subsystem Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
Duties & Responsibilities
Performing or supporting trade studies and assessments including developing and presenting cost and schedule impacts associated with the trade studies and assessments.
Perform C3 requirement development, integration, traceability, and closure. Ensure requirements are properly documented and linked in the requirements database. Ensure verification and validation (V&V) planning is sufficient for closure of requirements.
Ensure ICD requirements are accurate and properly allocated to the appropriate C3 subsystems and properly documented and linked in the requirements database.
Lead technical issue resolution related to C3 subsystems and ensure integrated solution with the other EGS Elements.
Provide technical integration of C3 subsystems with the other Elements of EGS.
Leading and supporting Design Reviews and acting as the Change Package Engineer (CPE) for related Program documentation updates including tracking the appropriate Change Requests (CR).
Monitoring development of Test Procedures to ensure the procedures adequately satisfy the Design Verification Objectives (DVOs) and Design Validation Objectives (DVaOs) for the subsystem requirements.
Support the Verification and Validation (V&V) Status Reviews and Design Certification Reviews (DCR).
Support Program milestone reviews.
Providing oversight of contractor personnel developing, implementing, and closing test procedures.
Develop and present requirements status to program boards as required.
Understanding of complex computing architecture and the derivation of program level requirements into use cases to support software development teams and test personnel.
Experience working in the development of a command and control system that supports: real-time control of hazards, ground systems, or launch operations.
Familiarity with the software development life cycle on government programs and mapping it to an Agile development process
Experience in software architecture development, systems engineering, operations concept development, and verification/validation of a command and control system
Systems engineering experience on a large government software development contract
Desired experience with EGS LCS and interfaces with ground and flight systems.
Desired experience/knowledge of command and telemetry products such as: OSComet, RTI, HP Openview, Allen Bradley PLCs
Desired experience with systems engineering tools such as: Cradle, JAMA, VersionOne, Clearquest
Desired experience with software configuration management tools such as: AssetCenter and Accurev
Knowledge of the lower level requirements associated with the LCS and how they are related to the Program level requirements.
