JOB PURPOSE: Operator will be responsible for machining and qualifying cylinder heads to spec
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Work in a fast-paced, safety and quality focused environment to machine cylinder heads.
Operator should have attention to detail and be self-motivated.
Operator will work in a team environment.
Operator is expected to cross train in other areas of operations to provide flexibility within the job classification scope.
Operator will utilize Mazak and mills to machine cylinder heads to specifications – machines may include radial arm drills, Serdi, etc.
Use gauges and visual inspection to check specifications per prints.
Access EPIX to view/read prints.
Operator will sort, qualify and install seats and guides into cylinder heads.
Will use a hoist and CX lifting tools to move parts from basket to tubs/racks.
Use a pallet jack to move parts in and out of area.
May be required to lift, push, pull heavy parts multiple times per shift.
Must be able to stand for 8-12 hours
Minimum of 6 months manufacturing experience
Intermediate experience reading and interpreting blueprints.
Intermediate experience operating inspection equipment and gauges.
Top Candidates will also have:
Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office programs including Word and Excel.
Previous cylinder head experience.
Previous experience using a hoist.
Previous experience using radial drill.
Previous Mazak or CNC experience.
Current agency workers must have worked the required 90 days to be considered for this position.

Job Description: :
The Tool and Die Maker constructs and repairs jigs, fixtures, cutting tools, gauges, or metal dies or molds used in shaping or forming metal or nonmetallic material (e.g., plastic, plaster, rubber, glass). Work typically involves: planning and laying out work according to models, blueprints, drawings, or other written or oral specifications, understanding the working properties of common metals and alloys, selecting appropriate materials, tools, and processes required to complete task, making necessary shop computations, and setting up and operating various machine tools and related equipment. Work for someone in this position also involves using various Tool and Die Maker's hand tools and precision measuring instrument, working to very close tolerances, heat-treating metal parts and finished tools and dies to achieve required qualities, and fitting and assembling parts to prescribed tolerances and allowances. In general, the Tool and Die Maker's work requires rounded training in machine shop and tool room practice usually acquired through formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience.
Experience in modifying, editing, and troubleshooting CNC programs in GIBBS CAM software is required
Previous experience in machine shop environment working with 2, 3, and 5 axis milling machines or waterjet machines.
Laying out work according to models, blueprints, drawings, or other written or oral specifications.
Understand the working properties of common metals and alloys.
Select appropriate materials, tools, and processes required to complete tasks.
Ability to interpret blueprint drawings.

The Production Operator will manually and/or with the aid of material handling equipment, move industrial gas cylinders to different areas of the plant and loads/unloads cylinders from delivery trucks.

The Cambridge Division is one of Pace's longest-running facilities. Founded in 1945, Cambridge has been providing contract manufacturing die casting worldwide for more than 65 years. A 300,000-square-foot facility provides a large environment for expert manufacturing services.
Die Cast department is generally required to operate one or more die casting machines in strict compliance with approved processes. Responsible for achieving die casting quality and the periodic recording of process readings related to process effectiveness. Die Cast operations require a substantial number of manual operations such as machine cycle start, hand spraying, positioning of inserts in die cast tool, de-flashing parts and dies, removing hot die castings from the machine, visually inspecting die castings and taking measurements to ensure conformance to specification. Employees are responsible for the set-up, operation, and perform adjustments to aluminum die cast machinery to produce parts ranging in weight from several ounces to over 30 pounds. Operators perform machine set-ups which include removing and installing dies and related machine parts. Exposed to a harsh operating
environment which includes: heat of up to 125 degrees, steam vapors, open flames, and smoke from burning materials while operating from an elevated platform.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Operate die cast equipment to produce the required quantity of good quality parts to meet production standards.
Learn the die cast process including the function of the die, gates and runners, venting systems.
Observe continuous operation of manual and/or automatic machines to ensure products meet specifications and to detect malfunctions and adjusted as instructed.
Perform die changes and set-ups as required by schedule.
