JOB SUMMARY: Makes and/or repackages and pumps compressed and liquefied gas into cylinders.
SCOPE AND IMPACT:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Positions cylinders in manifold racks. Operates equipment for pumping or repackaging gases into cylinders.
Performs all required pre-fill and post-fill inspections and tests before cylinders are released. Cylinders requiring maintenance or repair are removed from service until corrected.
Regularly inspects and maintains pumping apparatus and associated monitoring devices.
Fills cylinders or containers to proper capacity by either setting pressure gauge to specified reading and watching for indication of full cylinders; adjusting valves and observing gauge to fill cylinder to specified pressure; observing scale indicator to fill cylinders to specified weight or filling cylinder to excess, rolling cylinder onto scale and connecting exhaust line to release excess gas and attain prescribed weight.
Accurately maintains cylinder filling records and ensures that all required procedures are followed in order to comply with local, state and federal regulations.
Completes and attaches warning and other identification tags, labels and decals to cylinders.
Loads cylinders onto vehicles using hand truck or lift gate and records type and quantity of cylinders.
Assist with loading and unloading trucks and/or trailers when required
Assist with inventory, general housekeeping, and help customers when necessary
Perform backup duties as a route driver when necessary

What you will enjoy doing: As our Cylinder Filler, reporting directly into the Plant Manager, you will be responsible for processing gas orders in a safe and efficient manner for timely delivery to our customers. Basic understanding of GMP's and quality control concepts and practices
Accurate count of all incoming cylinders and load/unload trucks
Inspects all parts of the cylinder to include the cylinder itself, label, and valve
Safely operates a forklift to load and unload trucks and gather stock from the warehouse
Follows Linde procedures for safe handling, storing, securing, and proper nesting of cylinders
Receives all goods according to standard written procedures
Connects cylinders to manifold and opens valves to draw off residual gas and evacuate
Reviews and documents proper thermometer, gauge, and analytical equipment calibrations
Fills, weighs, and documents cylinders in accordance with specific guidelines
Performs all required pre-fill and post-fill inspections and tests before cylinders are released
Regularly inspects and maintains pumping apparatus and associated monitoring devices
Safely operates a forklift and hand truck
Perform mathematical calculations as necessary
Perform other duties as assigned
Do you have what it takes? You must have a high school diploma or GED, and a minimum of two years' experience in manufacturing or warehouse environment. Good written and verbal skills, especially skills in customer service are necessary. Must have basic computer skills. The ideal candidate is motivated and has high energy. Formal forklift training/experience is preferred. Must have the ability to read and understand DOT and FDA required paperwork. Must be able to work outdoors in varying degrees of temperature. Candidate must be able to push, pull, or maneuver weights of up to 100 pounds and lift or carry weights of up to 50 pounds. The ability to perform work during prolonged periods of standing (up to eight hours) is necessary. Frequent bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, grasping, feeling, and repetitive motion is also required.

Setup, Run, & Program CNC machining centers using set up sheets.
Operate manual hand tools as well as CNC machines. (Horizontal, Vertical, Heller).
Maintain strict quality through the use of established gauging equipment including CMM and Hard Gage.
Help keep LWI/SOP/SWI's up to date and follow these instructions.
Perform salvage and reclaim process to head core as well as castings.
Perform housekeeping responsibility (5-S & TPM).

Propane Central, a central Kansas propane company, distributes propane through its 9 retail districts to residential and commercial customers as well as contractors in their area. JOB PURPOSE AND SUMMARY
Ensure quality of products by completing the approved training matrix and on-the-job training conducted by the Filler Operator I. Operates hot pouch forming and filling machines. Monitors and tracks fill weights, temperatures, pouch codes.
Support the review, understanding and compliance of all programs, policies and procedures contained in the Food Safety and Quality Management System.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Completes production, quality and sanitation paperwork. Follows approved procedures while operating a filling machine forming and filling pouches.
- Shall be able to identify CCPs and understands variance procedures. Also, ensures pouch quality based on MSP specifications.
- Shall set up the fillers, metal detectors, check weighers and pouch coders and ensure accuracy for optimum performance during product startups and product changeovers.
- Performs setup and adjustments to check weighers, metal detectors, and temperature control devices, while in operation.
- Know how to read, understand, and follow the MSP.
- Uses a computer for inputting data.
- Responsible for assisting in the training of new filler operators and break reliefs in the filling process, to include material handling, material tracking, filling, and documentation procedures.
- Complete start up sheets for all products and insures accuracy.
- Monitor and perform COP/CIP/GMPs of filling room and all associated areas.
- Changes film rolls while eliminating waste of film using a forklift and lift cart (safely).
- Performs preventative maintenance as prescribed in machine operation manuals.
- Follows approved procedures completing CIP/COP of filling machines, room sanitation.
- Responsible for ensuring GMP compliance of filler room employees, and all associated areas of the filling room.
