Hydrostatically tests tanks to locate leaks in welds and fittings, under pressure, include non-code vessels. Hydrostatically tests tanks by plugging openings and filling each tank with water and pressure. Bolts down test cover to tank flange. Pressure tests tanks up to 1000 psi, however, most tanks are tested at about 250 ps. 2.
Visually checks each tank for leaks and identifies leaks by marking the shell. 3. Also visually inspects tank's fitting and brackets for proper welds. Hand stamps all tested tanks with assigned letter.
Records required tank information on hydro data sheet. 4. Chips slag and welding from around fittings and brackets when tank is being filled with water. Notifies Supervisor when plastic plugs, o-rings and other material reach re-order points.
Grind down girth weld. 5. Tack weld ASME data plate after completing hydro test. 6. Uses handcarts to take tanks to the work center following testing. 7.
Checks the equipment to assure the proper working order on a daily basis. 8. Stamps ASME labels prior to hydro tests. 9. Performs housekeeping and other related duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor.

The Inspector Tester C-2nd shift will be located in Waukesha, WI (Badger Drive Location) Primary Responsibility: Perform assembly inspection of transformers/regulators at various locations in the assembly plants per established procedures. Perform electrical testing on assembled single and three phase transformers/regulators per established procedures. Monitor conformance to quality standards. Essential Functions:
Perform routine factory dielectric tests per established procedures, including OX (induced), QC impulse, and hipot (applied potential).
Perform routine factory loss tests per established procedures, including load loss (winding loss) & no-load loss (core loss).
Perform power factor, ratio, and resistance tests per established procedures.
Perform operational test on regulators as required.
Perform continuity test on unit per established procedures.
Following routine tests, inspect unit nameplate, stamp impedance value on nameplate, and secure nameplate to tested unit.
Perform visual inspection on interior of unit upon completion of testing.
Perform minor maintenance of test equipment.
Perform special routine tests when required.

The inspector manages these responsibilities by inspecting the installation of backflow assemblies, performs cross connection control testing, conducts water use surveys, performs water constituent testing, and dye testing operations.
Senior Backflow Prevention Inspector maintains compliance with the National Plumbing Code, Texas Administrative Code and the American Water Works Association Rules. Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
