This position creates value by assisting the Press Operator with the setup, running, cleaning and maintenance of the printing press. Printing Press Feeders prepare all materials for the press run to ensure optimal production efficiencies are met in alignment with our internal and external customers expectations. This position is on 2nd shift (3pm-11pm) at our Industries Road facility.A Day In The Life Typically Includes: Assisting in the operation of machine to include setup, stock load changes in a continuous run environment, hanging plates, replenishing ink, perform routine maintenance/cleaning/troubleshoot feeder section Removing jammed stock from machine Operating mobile equipment to move loads from pressroom, i.e., clamp truck, battery powered roll pusher, pallet jack (electric and manual) or other mobile equipment Lifting/hanging print plates, inserting pallets of unprinted stock with mobile equipment at feeder, keep press operating supplies stocked, performs operator level preventative maintenance duties; changing of blankets, helping to install and set press rollers, assisting in press wash up What You Will Need: High school diploma or GEDWilling and able to perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for at least eight (8) hours a day

The press machine feeder will assist the Print Operator with work on a state of the art Heidelberg 8 color sheet fed off-set printing press. Ensuring that proper quality is maintained and project objectives are met. Successful candidate will have a willingness to learn and desire to advance their career. While not actively working with the Print Operator, additional support will be given to the Bindery Team with a variety of projects.
- Feeding paper onto the off-set printer.
- Must be comfortable lifting up to 50lbs.
- Lifting 20lbs of paper on to the machine, repetitively through the run.
- Will be using a pallet jack to move large pallets of paper to the machine
- Assist the Press Operator to ensure effective run of print from project to project
- Assist with preventive maintenance as required
- Assist with ink load as necessary
- Other duties as assigned working with the Bindery Team.

PRESS FEEDER: Thurs, Fri, Sat and every other Wednesday (6:00pm to 6:00am) JOB SUMMARY: Assists Press Operator with press make readies, operating, and maintaining sheet-fed press including installing plates and blankets on press cylinders. Adjusts press machine parts such as: feeder and delivery mechanisms, suction grippers, guides, feed wheels, jogging devices, and tapes. Assist in removing and replacing worn rollers. Wash blankets, clean ink distributing rollers and ink fountains using ink solvent and cleaning mechanisms on press. Locating paper and getting it press ready. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Ensures that the Sheet Fed press is properly supplied with roll stock and prepares rolls for splicing. Maintains appropriate paperwork or records.
May assist with pre-make-readies and make-readies. Responsibilities Prepares the press for a run by verifying job specs and setting up the press accordingly. Inspects the fountain solution, inking systems, rolls of paper and the mechanisms related to the reels.
Maintains proper inventory of paper. Records usage and spoilage on SPC report. Ensures that the roll of paper is properly unwrapped, mounted and ready to be spliced.
Monitors the flow of paper throughout the run. Prepares and installs new roll when necessary. Works in conjunction with the press operators and other assigned Press Assistants in the preventative maintenance of the presses.
Assists maintenance personnel in troubleshooting and making repairs to press. May assist with make-readies. May adjust ink, solvent, and varnish to ensure that proper color is established or maintained as required by location.
Adheres to and promotes all safety policies and procedures including, but not limited to the proper handling of hazardous waste, lock out - tag out rules and hearing and eye protection policies. Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.
