Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery Planner
Summary: Provides day-to-day support related to Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery for KAR Auction Services, as well as KAR's individual business units/subsidiaries. Responsible for the assisting in the support and maintenance of the Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery plans for KAR Auction Services and its individual business units. Helps implement and support the rolling three-year Business Continuity Management Program roadmap. Plan Development –
Assist with KAR-wide resiliency planning, strategy, and approach

Work with business units to identify business process recovery priorities and resource requirements to include essential personnel, technology, facilities, communication systems, vital records/data, and hardware/software needs
Event Response –
Provide 7x24 on-call support for any emergency, which may require activation of all or part of the Business Continuity Plans or Disaster Recovery Plans
Assist in coordinating continuity efforts after a disruption by facilitating communications, assisting with the recovery process and organizing post event debriefs
Coordinate ongoing updates to the plans and procedures, ensuring continuity and accessibility of documentation, including metrics and tracking mechanisms
Testing and Exercising –
Assist in coordinating testing activities proactively to maintain continued operations, asset protection, and loss mitigation in the event of a disruption
Risk Analysis & Remediation-
Assist in performing risk analysis, documenting test results, and identifying recommendations for enhancements to the BCPs/ DRPs
Assist in developing remediation plans for identified test exceptions, working with control owners to ensure all exceptions are remediated in a timely manner

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated program manager who will be responsible for the efficient and effective management of our data center(s) and disaster recovery operations. This role manages complex schedules, budgets, multivendor environments, and broad interdependencies.

Lead, Disaster Recovery Program
The Disaster Recovery Program Lead will be responsible for planning, directing, designing, and administering Constellation Brand's IT Disaster Recovery program across our data centers, public cloud, wineries, breweries and other critical locations.
This includes the development and oversight of Constellation Brand's IT disaster recovery program strategy, policies, recovery plans, and standards. The Disaster Recovery Program Lead will also have responsibility to manage the program deliverables, ensure adherence to budget, and assist with contract negotiations and management of third-party vendor disaster recovery services. This position will be responsible for driving disaster recovery best practices, assuring the achievement of Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and will work with the business stakeholders, appropriate technology teams, vendors and CBI leadership to ensure that our disaster recovery services meet company needs and strategic plans.
Develop and oversee the Constellation Brand IT global disaster recovery (DR) program including development of strategy, policies, recovery plans, and standards.
Collaborate and coordinate with business units, external business partners (outsourcers) and key IT staff to plan, direct, control and maintain effective disaster recovery plans.
Maintain and ensure Constellation Brand's IT Disaster Recovery Playbooks, and on-going Change Management is current and up to date.
Provide Disaster Recovery risk consultancy in coordination with Business Continuity Planning activities
Manage the design, execution and continuous improvement of the disaster recovery plan.
Conduct disaster recovery exercise activities and monitors and reports on recovery capabilities and exercise metrics.
Manage disaster recovery and high availability planning, with a focus on ensuring adequacy of end-state production recovery environments.
Operate closely with project management office (PMO), application support, service management and infrastructure teams to gather requirements and ensure new and on-going projects sustain established levels of recoverability consistent with business objectives.
Assist with evaluation, selection, and management of multiple vendor services to ensures adherence to contracts and associated service-level agreements (SLA), for external disaster recovery management services.
Provide leadership and direction within the disaster recovery programs capabilities regarding application, infrastructure recovery, crisis management, emergency management, disaster preparedness planning projects, and initiatives.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Information Technology.
Minimum of 5 years successful program management in disaster recovery/business continuity planning.
Certified Business Continuity Planner (CBCP) or Associate Disaster Recovery Planner accreditation, preferred
Proven leadership ability.
Broad expertise in infrastructure technologies.
In depth understanding of ITIL/ITSM principles in managing operational service delivery.
Demonstrate ability and experience in leading teams on and off shore.
Excellent communication (written, verbal and presentation) skills, and advanced problem-solving orientation and decision-making skills. Proven ability to develop, present and justify positions to all levels within the company.
Ability to motivate employees to a deliver on common goals and objectives.
Demonstrated ability in requirements gathering and customer/business relationship management.
