Regional Product Manager
The Regional Product Manager is in charge of the product portfolio for Valeo Service / Aftermarket's Passenger Car and Light Commercial Vehicles market by making the range attractive, competitive and understandable to customers. Your expertise allows you to support the Operational Marketing team in its missions.
You are the market expert:
You manage your product portfolio: market evolutions and competitors (competitive benchmark)
You collaborate with marketing operational (ROM) in order to get proper Business Plan and markets insights (data, trends)
II. You are the product expert:
You ensure regular update of your know how in your product technologies (function, process, OE innovations).
You analyze and know the benchmark of competitor's products and service offers (SWOT's, technical Benchmark).
You manage the whole product portfolio ensuring a proper competitive coverage.
You validate technical range gaps, sales potential and you define priorities in the development program with R&D.
You validate new references technical information (dimensional report, test report…), in link with internal or external suppliers and test laboratories.
You update park coverage rate at competitive level, per Car maker and per market.
You build and validate the 5 Years Product Strategy within the Medium Term plan (MTP).
III. You are the product Aftermarket IN HOUSE referential:
You ensure fast time to market availability TTM for latest OE products.
You deliver Product plan (PSP).
You are the Product "in house"reference for BG/PG and suppliers.
You ensure with legal department, compliance of new valeo parts with IAM access debranding rules.
You define the proper level of quality associated with price Tier objectives (Good better best) and validate it with quality.
You determine the proper packaging standard in order to achieve objective of sales and costs.
You determine and propose the branding associated with the new range to be validated by Marketing strategic.
You validate with Product Group the Yearly Product Plan within the PSP.
You are the interface of the purchasing department in preparation of negotiation with suppliers.
IV. You are the project manager
You are the project manager for all new products.
In this role you ensure that all departments/suppliers follow the process/Timing for the part number creation.
You create the part number (Time to market/ matching quality) in the system.
You supply the initial sets of data for new products
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Business, Marketing or Engineering
5 years' professional experience, preferably in automotive manufacturing environment with a focus on aftermarket product development and product marketing
Experience or interest in highly technical products is a plus
