- Examining parts to verify smoothness of surface.
- Growing technical proficiencies with hand tools that include reamers, drill bits and files.
- Ability to perform quality assurance with thorough utilization of measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers and depth measurements.
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting is essential.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination, working under a microscope required.
- Must be familiar with the use of various hand and power de-burring tools under magnification/scope.

The Deburrer, reporting directly to the CNC Lead, is an important part of the CNC team. In this role, the Deburrer grinds/deburs parts so they are void of burrs or rough edges. Duties include grinding, sanding and other forms of finishing metals or plastics.
Essential Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities
- Adhere to safety and quality standards
- Safely operate machinery, hand tools, power tools, etc. to ensure product quality
- Grind and/or file rough edges from materials
- Maintain and follow job schedule
- Expedite orders as directed
- Perform related preventative maintenance on equipment as needed
- Strong attention to details

Terms of Employment
This is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt position.
First shift general hours are Monday-Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm. Second shift general hours are 3:30pm to 12:00am, Monday-Friday. Each shift includes a one-half hour unpaid lunch break and two fifteen minute paid breaks.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions. Work is regularly performed in a combination of office and warehouse and environments.
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is frequently required to stand and/or walk. The employee is occasionally required to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and reach with arms or hands. The employee must occasionally lift, carry, push or pull up to 80 pounds. Ability to constantly perform fine finger and hand activity.
No travel is expected for this position other than travel between properties.

Position Overview : This position will be deburr complex parts and visually inspect for defects while maintaining manufacturing productivity and standards. Parts may include multiple manufacturing process steps within the deburrer operations. Ensure quality compliance of all parts following customer specifications and internal drawings and procedures.
May train more junior staff in deburrer procedures. Essential Responsibilities :
Perform complex manual deburring with tight quality tolerances using various tools, knives, and equipment
Repair parts that have damage from the manufacturing process
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blue prints, customer specifications, internal drawings and procedures for complex parts
Inspect parts and ensure the proper finish and/or flatness
Examine parts for completeness
Maintain manufacturing productivity and safety standards
Perform repetitive manual deburring tasks keeping parts in quality compliance and following manufacturing process steps.
Meet productivity standards
Notify supervisor of any defects or damaged parts
Perform some assembly operations including lee plug, broaching, bearings, and helicoils
Identify, modify, and create appropriate hand deburring tools for the task
Suggests manufacturing process change improvements
Train and provide mentorship to more junior debuerrer staff
Ability to repetitively lift up to 10 lbs for up to 10 hours shifts
