Injection Molding And Assembly Engineer (Wax Process Owner)
Job Description: As part of Arconic Power and Propulsion and our new plant expansion in LaPorte, this position is responsible for ensuring that the Wax processes (e.g. injection, pattern assembly, and pattern inspection) are performed in compliance with the methods, materials, and equipment specifications as detailed in the business unit process manual and/or plant-specific requirements. The Process Owner is accountable for process improvement, control and standardization in the assigned area, and works closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and other stakeholders.
Job responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to the following:
Monitor key variables of the manufacturing sub-processes (e.g. injection molding, wax pattern assembly and pattern visual inspection) to determine process stability
Drive process stability and improvements through structured Process Management and by promoting best practice methodologies and new technologies
Perform/ lead and report on monthly process reviews
Ensure the timely and effective resolution of issues resulting from internal, peer, and external audits
Assume responsibility for integrity of assigned process requirements.
Interact with internal and external customers to understand technical requirements and resolve issues.
Responsible for determination of the root cause of any deviation from critical process specifications and provide technical support to Process and Product Engineering to resolve wax process related issues.
Contribute to Business Unit new technology adaptation and validation efforts
Responsible for reporting the critical process status on daily and monthly basis to plant management and the Business Unit Wax Process Owner.
Support location Production Control Manager and Supplier Quality Engineer in regard to wax outsource vendors
Responsible for control and approval of all generic Wax process Work Instructions (i.e. Activity Instructions).
Responsible for daily interface and communication of issues with manufacturing, maintenance, facilities personnel responsible for the Wax equipment areas
Responsible for understanding downstream product quality as it relates to the wax process and react appropriately to observed conditions
Institute proper project monitoring, follow up and feedback system to ensure financial and contract targets are met. (Example: Yields and Rework)
Foster continuous improvement utilizing process management, designed experiments, Six Sigma, and statistical process control
As a recognized expert in the wax process technology area, provide technical guidance to management and peers in areas of current or potential needs of the plant.

Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution
Minimum 1 year of engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.

Definition: Under general supervision of the Roads Maintenance Supervisor, supervises the maintenance and repair of hardscape, landscape and irrigation facilities, as well as the weed management program, within public rights-of-way and roadways. Administers, coordinates, and participates in all aspects of roadside landscape maintenance. 8.Reviews plans for new improvements that will become the responsibility of the roadside landscape maintenance crew. POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for helping drive and grow the business through acquiring, maintaining and servicing catering guests. Also expected and responsible for catering team to maintain LEYE standards of guest service as well as go above and beyond to ensure the guest's total dining experience. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (Other duties will be assigned as needed) Must be willing and able to do the following:
Solicit new catering customers through prospecting and cold calls.
Accurately develop and write catering contracts.
Work with General Manager and Chef to develop catering menus.
Understand all catering menus including substitutions and new menu items.
Assist with selection, training and development of staff to work catered events.
Effectively staff all catering events.
Interact with, direct and supervise staff working catered events in a fair and dignified manner.
Ensure smooth and efficient service for all events. Recommend any necessary performance problems that need to be addressed or documented according to LEYE procedures.
Communicate clearly and effectively all contract/event/host details to staff working events.
Review daily orders with the catering coordinator in the morning and evening, if applicable.
Communicate any contract changes immediately to the catering coordinator, if applicable.
Comprehend the kitchen's catering systems including menu distribution, assembly of orders and delivery.
Answer questions regarding menus and availability of dates for potential customers.
Understand the service style of the restaurant.
Utilize salesmanship techniques by up selling food, liquor, service etc.
Respond knowledgeably to questions about the restaurant and the menu.
Complete server training.
Become proficient in servicing catering calls (along with scheduled co-workers) within the restaurant specific training period.
Maintain a thorough knowledge of menu items through frequent tasting.
Comprehend and maintain incentive programs for both LEYE catering personnel and catering customers.
Attend weekly catering meetings and communicate all pertinent information to appropriate personnel.
Order and maintain party supplies, decorations and equipment.
Maintain and foster current client base for LEYE with various sales techniques.
Maintain client list as property of LEYE.
Maintain a list of preferred vendors for flowers, music, audio visual equipment, etc.
Effectively attempt to attain weekly sales goals.
Comprehend monthly catering budgets.
Oversee any catered event that requires a personal visit.
Become proficient in all functions listed in the Banquet Server/Captain job description.
Comprehend the capacities of each banquet room.
Accurately record events in both the function book and monthly calendar.
Perform varied duties to ensure all aspects of service according to standing operating procedure.
Use tact and good judgment when dealing with difficult guests. Respond to their needs with patience and courtesy.
Move safely through all areas of the restaurant, which may include stairs, uneven and slick surfaces.
Must wash hands regularly, according to guidelines.
Comply with all safety and sanitation guidelines and procedures.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Be able to stand and walk for an entire shift.
Communicate cordially, effectively and clearly with all employees, managers and guests.

This role will assume full responsibility of Product Support Engineers management and all Samsung's HA New Product Introduction (NPI) testing and evaluation activities from cradle to grave. In addition, supporting products post launch, early detection and resolution of quality issues is essential. In this position, either directly or through others, the incumbent will:•Manage a team of 5 to 6 Product Support engineers and continuously provide guidance and direction to ensure product and service issues are identified, root caused and corrective actions are implemented in a timely manner•Manage all HA product categories (Refrigeration, Washer, Dryer, Dishwasher, Cooking products, Vacuums) for conducting thorough testing for continuous improvement in product and service quality •Own Service Quality (Repeat Repair – REDO KPI) oAnalyze and track HA Product Categories (Refrigerator, Washer, Dryer, Dishwasher, and Cooking) top symptoms and issues that drive high Service REDO, identify root cause and corrective actions with internal teams, HQ and Factories.oAnalyze and track top Servicers and technicians with high REDO, establish quality relationship with Regional Service Managers (RSMs) and partner with the Technical Training Team to train and influence Servicers and technicians to address high REDO on a regular basis, and finally create robust reporting on repeat repair (REDO) to senior management and provide clear guidance on corrective actions.•Own the development of concise, detailed test cases and test plans/scripts•Own the New Product Introduction (NPI) evaluation process, work with HQ and visit factories to validate and ensure high quality products being manufactured. •New and defective part analysis and reporting•Product testing and evaluations throughout multiple factory visits•Apply industry standard and effective defect root cause analysis, escalations and corrective actions to ensure timely resolutions•Data, reporting and trend analysis•Field issues support and analysis including travel on site to inspect defective product and provide repair solution•Travel overseas to meet with design, R&D, and factory locations for product evaluation, training and quality review•Create content to enhance the ability of field service technician personnel to perform reliable repairs.
