Primary duties: Process "good quality" batteries down shipping line.
Ability to operate, make minor repairs and adjustments to equipment and machines, as well as follow operator preventive maintenance program. Decorate batteries to customer specifications and palletizing to stock or customer number.
Normal Sequence: Removes jumpers and aside, slide battery from layer board onto conveyor, aside hirise lumber, maintain efficient product flow, stack off obvious rejects, remove process vents, perform process and quality checks as specified, replace process vents with finish vents.
Service washer and dryer as necessary. Polish terminals using appropriate head or wire brush and remove residue from cover. Operate manual hirater or bitrode to test quality.
Stack off rejects to pallet. Decorate batteries according to customer requirements, meeting customer satisfaction. Must be able to retrieve specifications from computer terminal.
Maintain adequate decoration stock on line. Shrink wrap batteries as required. Palletize batteries to customer requirements utilizing OPS procedures and equipment, maintaining accurate production counts and filling customer orders as completely as possible.
Use hand brander as needed. Clean, wipe, repair post to battery as needed. Keep work area clean and orderly, clean machines and area per shift, and perform regular preventive maintenance. May perform these and other functions within the scope of the job classification as needed or assigned under the framework of "self-directed work team" concept.
Additional Duties: Required to perform all positions on the line and rotate to relieve bottlenecks and improve output through ingenuity and as directed by the group leader.
Make minor repairs as necessary but contact maintenance and supervisor when trouble beyond their control occurs. Take active part in group meetings to maintain safety, quality, and increase productivity and morale.

What You Will Be Doing
•Responsible for developing, enforcement of the project-specific Quality Control Plan to ensure the quality standards established in the contract are met.
•Manages the quality control program and/or staff and/or all specialty subcontractor inspection entities through subcontractors to ensure all disciplines are in compliance with applicable owner/architect and government specifications, codes, regulations and requirements.
•Assess risk and puts good controls in place to eliminate/reduce quality issues.
•Implements corrective measures for problem areas.
•Functions as the primary point of contact and liaison with the Owner for all quality control related issues.
•Manages the keeping of all quality control records and ensures that required reporting is accomplished.
•Plans, schedules and coordinates to ensure that all required audits/inspections are performed and documented.
•Reports results to Imperial Team (specifically project manager and superintendent) in a timely manner & follows up to ensure that all corrective actions and re-inspections have been completed.
What You Need for this Position
•Minimum of six years of verifiable construction experience, including at least five years of managing a quality assurance/quality control program.
•Construction BS or AS degree preferred.
•In depth knowledge of quality control program components, building codes and technical standards.
•Must be able to read and interpret plans and specifications.
•Superior knowledge of safety practices and standards.
•Three references on past projects from Project Owners and/or Architects must be provided
