Laboratory Glassware Washer
Description The Bio-X program at the Clark Center is seeking a 50% FTE Laboratory Glassware Washer for the centralized glassware facility. The work schedule is 8am-noon, Monday-Friday. This position is part of the Stanford University Collective Bargaining Unit.
Responsibilities: The major function of this classification is to wash laboratory glassware, including glassware contaminated by infectious or radioactive agents. In addition, incidental functions of Laboratory Assistants may be performed up to 25 percent of the working time. Work is completed under close supervision
Characteristic Duties: Wash laboratory glassware using a variety of methods: handwashing, machine washing, acid cleaning, boiling, autoclaving, etc. Perform miscellaneous laboratory duties such as cleaning of apparatus and equipment, general cleanup of laboratory, sterilizing of media, reagents, instruments, etc.
Examples: * Pick-upanddelivery of glassware for aspecific groupof laboratories daily
Ensure labeling of each item and maintain accurate records
Clean the glassware by hand or by HAMO washing/drying machine
Autoclave allglasswarefor the prescribedamountof time andsealthe openings with aluminum foil to preservesterility
Make sure glassware equipment is used to its full capacity

The Defect Elimination (DE) group are in charge of SAS fab inline defect monitoring, control and improvement. At 2016, DE group broadened responsibilities and coverages to meet SAS expectations: continuous defect reduction and yield improvement on 14nm products and legacy nodes, Foundry product audit & yield up support, new product introduction, excursion and low yield reduction, etc. However, DE group do not have enough manpower to support all these critical projects.
