SUMMARY
The Refurbishment Lead supports the Refurb Supervisor as the first line of leadership for associates within the Refurbishment Center. The Lead ensures that all functions within their assigned department are completed daily, on time and with minimal labor expense. Additionally, the Lead ensures that associates are well trained in order to achieve and exceed GameStop's quality and production standards. This position supports other departments/zones as needed to achieve the overall business objectives of the refurbishment center. This position works under general supervision, interacting with a supervisor several times a week to receive guidance and feedback. Most non-routine activities will require a supervisor's advance approval.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*
TIER 1
Lead and monitor the daily activities of associates within assigned department/area to ensure area meets performance goals (quality/accuracy, production, cost, safety, 5S/cleanliness)
Utilize Warehouse Management system (WM), Sentinel, and/or other systems to ensure product is accurately located
Inspect quality of associates' work to ensure that products being processed and shipped meet GameStop's quality standards
Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on area performance for supervisors and management
Ensure all associates have standard work and process documents available at the work station, and are trained thoroughly on the process

Slitter Operator
Purpose: To describe the fundamentals of the Slitter Operator position and their responsibilities
This position is for 2nd shift (4:00pm - 12:00am)
Safety
All personnel coming into the Slitting Department must have proper protective equipment.
Hair nets.
Hearing protection.
Steel toed work shoes.
Operators must work in a safe manner and ensure their surroundings are safe.
Operators should not be working on equipment that they have not been properly trained to work on. They should not take short cuts nor follow bad habits of others.
Watch for unsafe conditions and make proper decisions to rectify.
Fill out maintenance requests and turn them in to maintenance.
Notify Supervisor or Crew Leader of unsafe conditions or hazards.
Housekeeping
Keep all areas of the Slitter Department clean according to AIB standards.
Raw materials must be kept off of the floors and from under / on top of slitter equipment.
Used cores must be stacked neatly in resin boxes and removed when full.
Housekeeping Schedule must completed on a daily basis.
Maintain GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) requirements for a clean environment for AIB certification.
Keep product clean at all times.
No cores or other raw materials lying on floor. Use cardboard slip sheets or other materials where required to keep materials from contacting walking surfaces.
When rolls of film contact the floor, the first few wraps are discarded, so contaminated film is not sent to our customers.
Work to minimize the use of tape, paper, and cardboard for temporary repairs. When these materials must be used, date them so they can be replaced within one month to prevent deterioration.
Food and tobacco policies are to be followed, with no signs of eating / drinking or tobacco use in Slitting area.
Dress code and personal hygiene policies are to be followed.
Operators will keep garbage cans empty and entire work area organized and clean.
Quality
Slitter Operators must be capable of understanding all paper work applicable to the Production Order.
Includes Work Orders, Packaging Specifications, Quality Check Sheets, etc.
Quality Checks are to be performed, at proper frequencies, and material is to be within specifications.
Follow instructions on Work Order or Packaging Specification for packaging and testing tolerances. If product is out of tolerance, notify your Crew Leader or Supervisor immediately. Do not continue to run product out of tolerance.
Follow Packaging Specifications to ensure material is packaged correctly. If you do not have packaging materials for order, do not start order until you have everything ready.
Review and fill out Work Order forms for each Production Order. Make sure work order sheet, labels, skid tickets, and other forms match the original Work Order.
Complete Quality Check Sheets for each Production Order to ensure all specifications are within tolerance.
Operators are solely responsible and accountable for the quality of the product they are producing.
Keep retains as required, clearly marked with all required information.
Turn all paperwork into QA Department for filing.
Production
Slitter Operators must be able to produce high quality rolls of film at the best possible rates with a minimum amount of scrap.
DBH boards must be filled out every hour in detail for output, downtime, and scrap.
Operators must run slitter as fast as possible, without sacrificing quality. Supervisors and Crew Leaders will determine maximum run rates.
All scrap must be minimized by efficiently setting up the line, and keeping downtime to a minimum.
Must be capable of planning for changeovers and setting up the next shift for such changeovers.
Must have all materials ready for changeover.
Must remain at assigned machine(s) and carefully monitor slitter and/or rewinder.
Operator should NEVER leave his machine(s) unattended.
