Set-up and operate winding machine to produce coils, ofvarious size, to specifications called for on winding sheet, winding diagramand order pouch. Coil conductor configurations include strip, round wire andrectangular wire in various combinations.
Readand interpret winding specification documents to determine characteristicsrequired for specific coil to be wound. Determine coil number, quantity andrevision. Record coil number on coil and on labor recording paperwork.
Determineand install appropriate mandrel device on machine. Adjust mandrel, end platesand/or tail-stock as required by window size specification.
Loadstrip, conductor and insulating paper to dereeling mechanisms on machine.Measure materials, make adjustments to machine to accommodate material andverify proper alignment.
Placescoil form on mandrel, wraps form/mandrel with paper, positions leads and tapesto coil form / mandrel.
Applypack out as needed per specification. Repeats for each section.
Folds,insulates and tapes weld pre-cut leads to strip stock of coil body. Winds majorinsulations, and applies varnish with hand applicator. Operates crimp tool tocrimp wire to static shield.
Operatesmachine regulating winding speed with foot control, aligning aluminum or copperstrip to center of insulating paper strip and both to center of coil form andadjusts tensioning devices as required.
Insertsoil rib ducts and other special insulating paper at specified places in coil.Weld aluminum and copper leads as required.
Verifyproper secondary coil.
Makeadjustments to machine (flattener, traverse and material tensions) to yielddesired finished coil dimensions as specified.
Operateswalkies and hoist equipment
Determineadhesive locations per reference specifications and apply liquid adhesive withhand applicator at specified locations throughout the coil.
Insertcooling ducts, special insulation and component parts at specified locationsthroughout the coil
Windcoil sections per winding instructions to specified number of turns.

Empty boxes and garbage at specified intervals.
Endure safety of area by posting appropriate caution signs when floor is wet or being mopped.
Assist Culinary staff when needed for preparation and banquet plate up.

The Trace Element Isotope Geochemist will:
Analyze astromaterial samples and analogs.
Possess a detailed understanding of clean laboratory sample preparation and handling for precise isotope dilution and composition methods.
Utilize contamination minimization and clean techniques.
Provide dissolution sample preparation for ICP-MS (Inductively-Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry), perform analyses (including laser ablation ICP-MS), develop analytical techniques, isotopic standard and spike calibration, blank assessment and remediation, procurement and inventory of chemical supplies and clean laboratory equipment, and general support for isotope lab users.
Validate, summarize and communicate quantitative results.
Meticulously document procedures and results, and actively participate in safety programs.
Work with visiting as well as in-house researchers on all aspects of experimentation and analysis.
Actively pursue collaborations and development of projects within and outside the department.

Experience with Multicollector (MC) ICP-MS and/or TIMS instruments is a plus.

Under limited supervision, winds coils used as electronic components according to work order, using coil-winding machines and hand tools. May set up and operate automatic or manual production machines and equipment, such as spot welder, pin threader, lathe and coil winder, to wind and pin to coil weld according to work orders and specifications.
Reads and interprets work orders, engineering specifications to determine machine setup, production methods, and sequence of operation.
Positions and clamps stops and guides; sets up and operates variety of machine tools.
Threads end of wire from reel through tension device, guides, and spreader bends wire ends to form lead, and attaches lead to coil core.

SOF GLSS is looking for a strong AeroSciences Lead. SOF GLSS supports the customer with a quick turnaround of activities from the proposal through Task Order (TO) execution.
Candidate will be responsible for leading a team of approximately 10-15 Aeronautical Engineers and managing their performance to meet the objectives of Rotary Wing (RW) Mission area. At SOF GLSS the Aeronautical Engineering group develops the computer based analysis models to verify the structural, thermal, and aerodynamic performance of designs development by our internal and subcontracted engineering groups. The Aeronautical Engineering group also works with the airworthiness authority to get airworthiness certification of our delivered products.
The candidate will have responsibility for cost, schedule, and performance for all Rotary Wing Analysis activities to meet contract requirements. This includes producing Basis of Estimates (BOEs) for proposals, creating Schedules and Budget Plans, and leading execution to the baseline plan. The Marine Corps Tactics and Operations Group (MCTOG) mission is to provide standardized advanced training and certification to Ground Combat Element (GCE) Operations Officers, Operations Chiefs, and select other GCE training specialists in GCE operations, combined arms planning and integration, and unit readiness planning at the company, battalion, and regimental levels to support GCE Training and Readiness (T&R) events.
The Marine Corps Tactics and Operations Group (MCTOG) GCE C2 SME shall demonstrate significant MAGTF experience with battalion or regimental command or Operations billets or Division/MEF Staff (G3, G5 or G7) experience leading and training Marine Corps Ground Combat Arms units.
The candidate will have experience with Marine Corps training and education programs and comprehensive knowledge of the Marine Corps training and education system, training philosophy and implementation policies.
The GCE C2 SME will collaborate with GCE doctrine writers, to develop, analyze, organize, plan, coordinate, and produce GCE operational doctrine and doctrine-related materials. They will participate in the development and execution of exercise material and Tactics Techniques, and Procedures (TTP) implementation throughout the MCTOG and MAGTFTP training continuums.
The candidate will synchronize GCE training events with current and experimental doctrine and techniques, tactics and procedures across the service, joint community, and allied partners. The focus of work will be on operational and tactical operations, operational and tactical planning requirements, and GCE operations as it relates to the warfighting functions across the Range of Military Operations (ROMO).
Attend key meetings to gain and maintain situational awareness on relevant issues of concern to MCTOG.
Track and report to MCTOG on GCE training events employing experimental doctrine and techniques, tactics and procedures across the service, joint community, and allied partners. The focus of work will be on operational and tactical operations, operational and tactical planning requirements, and GCE operations as it relates to the warfighting functions across the Range of Military Operations (ROMO).
Develop command and control experimental objectives for identified GCE experiments and the associated assessment metric.
Observe identified experiments and assess the impacts across the DOTMLPF spectrum.
Knowledge and Skills
Shall have a minimum of 20 years of operational experience primarily in the GCE with billets of an Operations Officer and/or Commanding Officer at a Battalion or Regimental level.
Expert knowledge of the roles and missions of various types of USMC forces/capabilities (including reserve component), their employment, and how they contribute to USMC operations.
In-depth understanding of USMC warfighting doctrine, warfighting functions, commander and staff operations, and Marine Corps procedures and responsibilities across all levels of war.
Must possess knowledge of USMC requirements and capabilities in executing combat operations across the ROMO, including how the USMC executes operations in support of USMC MAGTF and Joint Force operations.
Must possess knowledge of USMC emerging concepts and new doctrine to fulfill the GCE Proponent doctrine integration functions throughout the USMC and Joint doctrine communities.
Must possess knowledge of the Marine Corps Doctrine Development Process, military staffing, documentation procedures, and military administrative formats.
Must possess knowledge of other services (Air Force, Navy, and Army) combat operations doctrine to ensure thorough linkage between USMC and Joint Service Operations Doctrine.
Must be an expert in both oral and in written communications to facilitate the conversion of concepts into doctrinal statements, manuals and publications.
Must possess high levels of initiative, self-direction, and discretion to work effectively under a minimum level of supervision to meet deadlines.
Must be able to multi-task efficiently and work in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects and have a strong attention for detail.
Have experience with Marine Corps training and education programs and comprehensive knowledge of the Marine Corps training and education system, training philosophy and implementation policies.
GCE C2 SME must be able to observe identified experiments and assess the impacts across the DOTMLPF spectrum.
Must be familiar with and adhere to established command and staff procedures especially those involving staff coordination and chain of command.
Can design and develop training courses or course materials, plan and conduct training program evaluations, and have knowledge and experience in the development, execution and assessment of training plans and training events from platoon to division level.
Must have demonstrated background in developing information and decision briefs and associated supporting documentation for General Officer level audiences. This will require strong written and oral communication skills.
Experience and Education
Masters degree or equivalent experience is required and a minimum of 7 years of experience in USMC organizational processes at the regimental/base level or above to include a thorough understanding of functional roles and responsibilities of staff areas.
A minimum of 15 years of experience in USMC, joint, and multinational operations at the tactical and operational levels of war.
A minimum of 10 years of experience in employing and supervising the employment of various types of USMC forces/capabilities (including reserve component).
A minimum of 4 years of experience with the policies, procedures, and methods associated with the creation of USMC doctrine and the development of USMC training standards.
Excellent command of the English language; written and verbal.
SME must be a graduate of Command and Staff or equivalent and has extensive knowledge of the Services warfighting philosophy and GCE doctrine across the range of military operations.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
Garrison work environment.
Routine work schedule: M-F 0700 to 1700.
Occasional extended working hours will be required to meet deadlines or during support to exercises.
Typically, employees sit comfortably to do their work, interspersed by brief periods of standing, walking, bending, carrying papers and books, and extensive periods requiring the use of computer terminals to accomplish work objectives.
Must be able to lift 75 pounds.
Must be able to work in austere conditions with temperature and environmental conditions experienced in the High Desert.
Domestic travel may be required for training and program coordination.
May be required to travel OCONUS to conduct installation, training or maintenance. Accordingly, a valid passport is required.
Travel is estimated to be up to 30%.
