The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Design in OrCAD, simulate and troubleshoot analog and digital circuits, power supplies, high voltage-high current measurement systems, down to printed circuit board level.
Power supply design and measurement experience: Buck, boost, buck-boost, flyback (and variants) topologies
Knowledge of filter theory and operation of active and passive analog filters, crystal circuits, and analog circuit tuning
Circuit analysis using MathCAD, Matlab Simulink, VisSim, and ICAP (Spice)
Proficient with DMM, oscilloscope, network analyzer, signal generator, impedance analyzer, spectrum analyzer, data acquisition
DFT - Design for test. Track record of taking a product from prototype phase through manufacturing stability and cost reduction phases.
DFM - Design for manufacturing, including familiarity with LabView systems, component engineering, and VALOR schematic analysis
Write functional specifications, product specific test plans and design documentation
Define systems-level product qualification testing, life testing, and in-process manufacturing inspection to ensure reliability requirements are met for life of the products
First idea through post-manufacturing product support experience necessary
Solve design and manufacturing related problems through use of fundamental engineering calculations and theory.
Modify existing designs or develop new designs of components and subsystems, under the direction of senior engineering personnel, either alone or collaborating with a team of engineers and designers.
Conduct studies and make analysis, interpretations, and conclusions under guidance and supervision.
Coordinate and perform product testing under guidance and supervision.
Prepare reports and presentations for customers in a manner which enhances S&C's engineering reputation.
Interact with customers on the phone or in the field to resolve design, manufacturing or application related problems.
Perform engineering support functions for manufacturing.
To select this job as one of interest to you, at a minimum, you must have the following:
BS degree in Electrical Engineering required. Masters degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.
Working knowledge of analog and digital interface circuitry, isolation methods, transformer design, and filtering.
Ability to design and develop high voltage supplies to interface both with digital circuits and systems, including hybrid and multi-chip systems, for use in the electric power grid. Emissions and immunity knowledge, and design techniques for mitigation preferred.
Experience using high voltage bench and test equipment and procedures per industry safety standards.
Experience writing test and measurement programs for initial design prove-out, considering EMI/EMC.
Must be able to do accurate, repeatable analog test and measurement, organize and record data, and analyze it at a systems level.
Good PC skills including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. Knowledge of SolidEdge CAD/CAM is a plus.
Very good interpersonal and organizational skills.
Demonstrates good problem-solving skills.
Occasional travel may be required.

Apply fundamental design engineering and related manufacturing principles and practices while working with product segments for defense and aerospace applications

Lead teams regarding documentation, quotes, first runs, inspection, and related areas, develop and review a variety of reports, documents, and tests, and adjust operations or activities as needed.
Respond to questions and concerns from technicians, customers and suppliers; investigate design, quality, pricing, and other problems; communicate with sales and/or provide training to the appropriate groups
Interpret and apply department policies and procedures and applicable laws, rules, and regulations; ensure compliance with these areas
Develop displays, articles, and product concepts for trade shows, industry presentations, and related communications
Assist with mentoring and training a group of engineers in design procedures, design and customer history, technology and material function, processes, and interdepartmental contacts.

Produce and maintain 3D models and 2D drawings for exhaust system components and assemblies
Create, develop and/or modify NX CAD models and prep for analysis.
Create 2D drawing and apply dimensions and tolerances in accordance with ASME Y14.5 and Tenneco standards.
Develop 3D models in a manner too accurately calculate component and assembly mass.

Aerospace Dynamics International, Inc. (ADI) manufactures machined parts and assemblies for the commercial and military aerospace industries. ADI was acquired by PCC in April 2014. The company has received significant capital investments since the acquisition and has a highly positive growth trajectory ahead. Comprising seven facilities on its campus in Valencia, CA, ADI has over 400 full-time employees on staff.
The Design Engineer develops solutions to a wide range of complex technical problems, requiring ingenuity and innovation. The DE is expected to be a principal contributor and/or leader in structural design efforts to include concept generation through final detailed design, substantiating the design through classical analytical techniques. The DE's primary deliverable will be detailed 3D models and 2D blueprints using Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools such as CATIA V5.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Read, assimilate, decompose and track compliance to requirements defining the design (geometry, interfaces, envelope, function, features, stress, materials, processes, environment, etc).
Model, detail, dimension and release detailed blueprints, using CATIA V4/5 or similar CAD tools, that adhere to company standards and satisfy the customer requirements.Design responsibility will include conceptual design through final released design.
Perform detailed tolerance stacks, basic stress analyses, select materials and define appropriate processes in support of defining and substantiating an end item that meets the customer requirements.
Participate in or lead reviews providing status and details of the design.The reviews will include Preliminary Design (PDR), Final Design (FDR/CDR), brainstorming and component level reviews.The DE may be required to formally present reviews to the customer, management, the IPT or peers.
Must be able to work collaboratively and communicate effectively to achieve the program goals
Proficiency in the use of CATIA, Unigraphics and/or ProE CAD software is required for the performance of the DE functions.
Proficiency with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GDT) and performing tolerance stack calculations is required.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast paced and changing environment with multiple priorities and drive results.
Good understanding of manufacturing techniques including machining of materials and post machining processing is preferred.
Training and experience in Design for Six Sigma is considered to be highly advantageous in this role.
Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills necessary to effectively interface with all levels of the IPT, including the ability to exchange detailed written and verbal information
Required Education and Experience:
A Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering with a strong curriculum emphasis on structural design, analysis and mechanics of materials is required for the performance of the DE functions.
Five years of work experience in an aerospace structural airframe design environment is preferred but not required for the performance of many DE functions. However, understanding of aerospace design principles, specifications and processes as they apply to structural design is required.

Conceives and provides practical product design applications using complex technical principles
Prepares and directs concept, design, and development and feasibility studies of complex engineering projects

Acts as the development team leader by interacting with Plant locations and General Offices departments
Conducts technical evaluations of major systems on competitive products

Travels to domestic suppliers, plants, and customer job sites to solve design problems or to field-test locations to evaluate a product improvement

Works with manufacturability teams resolving problems with manufacturing and statistical process controls
Work with suppliers to develop new products as well as CPPD for issue resolutions

- Engineering degree, or 10+ years of experience without a degree
- 5+ years in progressive engineering assignments to gain a mastery of complex engineering and manufacturability concepts

High level of proficiency in Pro/E or other modeling or simulation tools and PDM / Team Center
Must have a good mechanical aptitude with ability to develop product concepts
Requires strong leadership ability and good communications skills

Prepare plans and schematics for simple and complex highway projects throughout Texas utilizing TxDOT and AASHTO design standards for cities, counties, and state agencies
Experience KCI is seeking a Roadway Design EIT with 0 to 4 years of experience in transportation design to join our team in the Austin office. This individual will support the design of roadway and bridge projects working under the direction of a Senior Engineer.
Skills Responsible for supporting roadway design development of transportation projects including coordination with multiple design disciplines. Duties include the preparation of plans, technical specifications, quantity takeoffs and construction estimates in accordance with TxDOT design manuals and standard drawings.
Experience with MicroStation and GeoPAK design software is preferred. Ability to take direction from others and work in a team environment is a must. Familiarity with AASHTO Greenbook, Roadside Design Guide, MUTCD, TxDOT Roadway Design Manual and Standard Drawings is a plus. Candidate must have good written and communication skills.
Degrees / Licenses (R)equired – (P)referred Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
Engineer in Training Certification required.
