TECHNICAL QUALIFICATION AND EDUCATION

Equipment Design Engineer
This Equipment Design Engineer contributes to Crayola operations by performing the analysis and improvement of current manufacturing machines and processes, the design of new manufacturing equipment, and the implementation of new product manufacturing. This position will work cross functionally with Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Continuous Improvement, and other departments to improve overall manufacturing goals of Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs testing, data collection, analysis, and reporting of current manufacturing equipment, then proposes and implements improvements based on those findings.
Designs machinery at the component and sub-assembly level for the creation of new equipment or the improvement of existing equipment.
Assists in the in the physical construction and debug of new equipment designs.
Responsible for the testing of new equipment designs.
Investigates, specifies, selects, and purchases new equipment, components, or engineering services from outside vendors.
Participates in the planning and execution of equipment design projects, including achievement of specifications, cost and schedule requirements.
Produces and is accountable for proper and accurate engineering work and record keeping.
Supports the implementation of equipment related projects of others, both inside and outside the department. Requirements JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

About the role:

Provide mentorship to other engineers and technicians.

As a Design Engineer - Test Equipment, you'll be responsible for designing equipment for the successful testing of complex electrohydraulic, electromechanical, mechanical, hydromechanical and electropneumatic components and systems that will become the new products of Moog.
