Service Desk - Printer Support And Receptionist
POSITION PROFILE
Responsible for the daily support of site specific network and workstation printers. Responds to customer requests for technical support and training with the focus being on customer service. Documents all service calls and requests using TRAC Solution and escalates serious problems to a Customer Service Technician and, as necessary, to the Integrated Account Manager. Works to ensure that the service level agreements between the customer and RICOH are achieved. In addition, responsibilities may include the procurement of printer hardware and the management of an on-site parts/consumables inventory.

Daily support of network and workstation printers

OverviewUnder general supervision will operate and maintain the Print Shop bindery and digital copy equipment. The coworker is responsible for operating all copy center equipment and completing the bindery and finishing work for all printing requests as assigned.
Coworker is responsible for labeling and shipping finished jobs to the requesting department. Utilizes FreeFlow automation tools as appropriate.
ResponsibilitiesOperates all print shop bindery equipment and/or digital copy equipment efficiently as assigned.Assists with large format printing and finishing including mounts, and trims posters for displays/teaching aids or other displays.Monitors and prioritizes scheduled print and/or bindery requests and completes in a timely manner.Closes out and labels all items shipped from Print Shop.Assists with maintaining inventory of print shop stock. Consumable supplies (paper, staples, bindery supplies, toner, fuser oil, etc.) are requested in a timely fashion and in appropriate quantities.
Checks in and restocks externally produced items the day of receipt in department. Printer Operator

The Printer Operator is responsible for setting-up, adjusting and maintaining the decorator and related equipment
Key Accountabilities:
Understands and complies with position related safety SOPs and work instructions, especially for Lockout/Tagout, Chemical Handling, Machine Guarding, Housekeeping, SQF, and Personal Protective Equipment. Check machines. Analyze types of mechanical or operational troubles and plan for and take corrective action to maintain quality.
Make changeovers or conversions by setting up assigned equipment for change in material, size or product. Check, test and measure product for quality specifications. Examine for visual defects.
Make repair or overhaul as required. Replace worn or damaged parts. Retime machine action.
Operate, repair, clean, lubricate equipment as required to maintain production. Clear jams. Check varnishes, coatings, inks, lubricants, supplies and add or change materials. Request or obtain additional quantities of supplies.
Examine, test and measure product from assigned equipment for quality specifications, using appropriate gauges and instruments and record date.
Perform Preventative Maintenance inspection of assigned equipment, report findings and take appropriate action. Perform maintenance work orders as required.
Notify supervisor of any incidences of recurring equipment malfunctions and corrective action taken and of any poor-quality material or supplies noted.
Operate equipment and assist as directed.

Hours: 6:00 am – 2:30pm, Monday-Friday with Overtime Required
Essential Responsibilities:
Perform basic and detailed machining and assembly tasks to operate at least one machine and/or perform many manual / assembly duties. (Xerox, OCE & Danka)
Perform repetitious and previously performed work without supervisory and technical assistance. Assistance may be needed for other work.
Multi-tasking that requires focused concentration is expected to be learned – must be willing to cross train. Utilizes basic skills and experience background to perform machining and manual tasks.
Process transactions necessary for work situations that requires very good working PC user know-how. Improvising sometimes is necessary to solve work problems to maintain work schedules.
Work overtime, weekends, and holidays as work schedules require. In peak periods additional overtime is required.
Successful performance requires good vision abilities including close vision.
Position Qualifications:
Education & Experience: Generally high school vocational orientated background or related education is preferred, and typically, 3 months to 3 years of fast pace, high volume production experience or similar background or equivalent combination of education and experience is needed to successfully perform job requirements.
