You can tread water in a pixel ocean, devour a vector layer cake, and solve problems on your feet. The internet has been your playground since XPages, but you also know not to export your print designs in RGB. You're willing to put in the occasional overtime for extra-awesome projects or malt beverages (and malt beverage clients). You're comfortable throwing your conceptual designs into the mix, and you're not dependent on constant direction. You're a critical thinker who likes to design cool shit and have fun doing it, and you aren't scared of playing in new mediums, whether digital, analog, or metaphysical.
What You'll Do
As a Designer at Madwell you'll be bringing big ideas into a visual and conceptual reality by working with our creative cross-functional team members. You'll be reporting into our Design Director.
Specifically You'll Be:
Brainstorming big ideas with the copy, design, account and production teams
Establish high standards in process, design, file naming/structure and presentation
Stay on top of all new techniques and trends in multichannel, multi-medium marketing efforts
Collaborate with the creative team, production and accounts to understand fully client needs
With the team, and sometimes on your own, you must be able to bring all these big ideas to life across medium, time and space
Proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Keynote
Mac-leaning but Windows-capable
Have a broad understanding of typography, period & current styles, design theory, and best web practices
Front end development, knowledge of CSS/HTML a big plus
Please have at least one socially acceptable addiction

Must possess theability to do CAE and FEA analysis in Catia v.5.

A Designer in the Multi-family Investment Sales design team will assume a position for the design and development of materials to support business development and marketing initiatives, with a focus on strategic communications. Emphasis will be on using a design template or designing customized offering memorandoms and Proprosals, sophisticated InDesign (the designer does not use PowerPoint) PDF and print collateral, there is no HTML needed. Position requires individual to work with a variety of team contributors including writers, other graphic designers, document specialists and various levels of management.
The individual in this position will partner with the business, and understand the business, to deliver new and unique sales support tools that not only meet the need, but test the boundaries. He/she must understand the strategy, audience, and objectives behind more complex design projects, provide appropriate solutions with minimal art direction and work with a variety of team contributors including writers, other graphic designers and various levels of management.

Years of Relevant Experience
4-5 years of prior graphics experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
Proven leadership in design and project management, along with demonstrated working knowledge of the business.
Skills and knowledge
Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Photoshop, etc, and the Microsoft Office Suite is mandatory.
Strong design and page layout skills are required, along with the ability to create graphic elements from scratch utilizing the best application that will support effective updates.
Exceptional communication skills to support professional exchanges in brainstorming sessions involving cross-functional and multi-level management teams.
Has an excellent understanding of print and assembly production; can recommend appropriate printing methods, and has experience in developing complete specifications, reviewing proofs, attending press checks, and managing print budgets.
Works effectively in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment and consistently demonstrates a high level of organizational skill and customer service.
Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.

Manager is interested in someone that can translate the brand to that medium. They should be able to concept and produce, but the team can help out.
Who will they be interacting with on a daily basis:
Manager and two other designers is the core team. They would interact with the broader siren retail team as well.
Best vs Average Candidate:
- The best candidate would have a strong graphic design foundation. They should be able to work in ambiguity and should be comfortable bringing to life big ideas. I'm not looking for a production designer, but more of a creative thinker.
