Job Description and Responsibilities
It is the responsibility of the Designer to design scales or full size blueprints of specialty items, such as heavy industrial mill equipment and components. Incumbents will also be expected to lay out and draw schematic, orthographic, or angle views to depict functional relationships of those components, assemblies, systems, and machines as well as review and analyze specifications, sketches, engineering drawings, ideas, and related design data to determine factors affecting component designs. Develop 3D surface or parametric models, Model texturing, and other modeling as needed
Simplify 3D models
Provide engineering support for International safety standards and virtual design reviews and audits
Associates's degree in Design, Engineering or similar field is desired, but not required
Experience in 3D modeling software such as Solidworks, Creo, Solidworks, or NX is desired
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications and general computer software
Analytical, technical, and problem solving skills
High energy and a demonstrated ability to implement and get results are essential
Strong written and verbal communication skills are required
Must enjoy working in a team environment, and have strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
Professional attitude, willingness to learn is required
