Position Summary We are looking for a new team member for our Rocky Mountain structural group in Denver. The ideal individual will have a positive attitude, be self-motivated, goal oriented, pays attention to detail, and has excellent problem-solving skills. He/she will work closely with project managers, engineers, and designers to develop high-quality work. Typical work includes but is not limited to the following:
Set up structural CAD configuration and procedures according to project requirements at the beginning of a project for the structural design team.
Prepares engineering drawings from rough sketches or from general engineering and design information (verbal instructions and notes) using CADD software programs (i.e. AutoCAD, Microstation).
Revises or changes drawings, traces and/or copies existing drawings and completes simple calculations with specific instructions.
Understands and follows project standards regarding CADD procedures for layering and standard drawing procedures for sheet layout. Manage CADD standards for multiple projects at one time.
Prepares exhibits and plans for proposals and presentations as requested.
Development of quantity and other plan data tables using Excel software is a plus.
Experience with ProjectWise software is a plus.
Apply Quality Control procedures for all deliverables.
Work as part of a project team to deliver high quality deliverables.
Associates Degree or Certificate in CADD is required
A minimum of 4 years of relatable experience is required
CAD experience in AutoCad and/or Microstation required
Ability to setup projects in CAD is required
Experience with InRoads / OpenRoads / Civil3D / Projectwise is preferred
Experience developing structural plans and details is required

Position summary: This position is responsible for maintaining proper detailing standards for boats, motors, trailers and ATVs for new customer, display, stock and service.

This position will be responsible for creating working shop drawings of a very complex nature using advanced detailing techniques, from engineering documents, that are used to support shop fabrication and field installation on various construction projects. Coordinates drawings with other trades and works closely with assigned Project Managers, construction supervision, field personnel, vendors and design engineers. Operates all computer-aided design drafting (CAD) system and peripheral equipment, making maximum usage of advanced software capabilities and exercises expert skill in the use of AutoCAD and various other CAD programs to develop drawings. Performs other duties as required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Generates construction and fabrication drawings using CAD equipment and peripherals for a variety of large complex commercial and industrial construction projects.
Reviews construction drawings for apparent conflicts with architectural and structural contract documents and to ensure compliance with local code requirements.
All issues identified during these reviews are brought to the attention of project management for clarification and resolution through the Request For Information (RFI) process.
Reviews equipment submittal documents for accuracy and completeness.
Coordinates draft construction drawings with other trades to ensure routings and clearances are understood and no obstructions exist.
Performs site surveys and field measurement work as needed to support the conceptual and design drawing effort.
Provides completed complex construction drawings to the shop for parts manufacture and to the job site management to use in construction and installation of material and equipment.
Identifies all detailing work required or requested for the project which is outside of the baseline scope of work and notify the Senior Lead BIM Coordinator on the project.
Assists Senior Lead BIM Coordinator with document control during the detailing process and arranges for outside reproduction services.
Maintains appropriate logs pertaining to drawing work such as RFI’s, transmittals, and drawings.
Identifies and resolves issues with clients, architects, engineers, building owners and vendors related to construction drawings and drawings of record.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: * Three (3) years of experience with MEP Design using AutoCAD and Revit
Must have knowledge of current industry practices with regard to fabrication and installation of various mechanical systems (plumbing and piping is a plus) * Detailed knowledge of building and mechanical codes and industry standards (i.e. SMACNA, ASME, ANSI, ASTM, ASI, etc.) is required.
General computer skills are necessary, computer aided drafting experience is desired.
Proficiency in AutoCad with third party duct and piping programs, Revit, and Navisworks
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel plus familiarity with email systems.
Must have good organizational skills.
Must be able to handle multi-tasking and set priorities.
