Drug Store Detective
Responsible for greeting, observing, reporting and assisting in providing a deterrence to crime or other improper activity.
Responsible for assisting in protecting Walgreens property from theft, vandalism, fires and all unusual activity in order to provide a safe and secure environment.
Responsible for assisting Walgreens store management with reducing and preventing shrink; knows established register policies and procedures.
Tours store daily, identifying deficiencies and implementing or recommending corrective action.
Aware of high pilferage areas in order to reduce/control merchandise losses.
Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Recognize and greet all customers and act as an ‘ambassador’ of customer service.

Utilize Company Loss Prevention reporting and applications (i.e. Lane Hawk, Smart Store) to identify and minimize potential loss and shrink. Detect and apprehend Customers, Associates, and Vendors for theft in a professional manner in accordance with Company policy, by specific directions of the Loss Prevention Specialist, and legal requirements in order to protect assets.
