Materials & Process Engineer – RF Electronic Assemblies
What You’ll Do: * Develop, evaluate, select and document materials and processes to meet the engineering design requirements of various radio frequency circuit assemblies for use in a wide variety of environments (aerospace, military, commercial) from demonstration of concept articles through rigorous flight qualified hardware.
Define, plan, and implement materials and process investigations and analyses.
Consult with and assist Ball Aerospace and customer organizations (e.g. engineering, production, integration and test, etc.) on use of such materials and processes.
Review drawings and specify appropriate materials and processes to meet design intents and contract requirements.
Integrate and implement materials and processes associated with radio frequency circuit assemblies to survive multiple environmental exposure conditions, ranging from oceanic to interplanetary space.
Analyze data and generate reports on the results of these tests.
Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Support Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.

The Failure Analysis section of the Materials Engineering Department is currently in need of an Senior Failure Analysis Engineer I in the field of Failure Analysis. The candidate will support Manufacturing Operations, Engineering Development and Field Returns providing root cause analysis. This individual should also be able to provide corrective / preventive recommendations to the customer as part of the analysis solution. The candidate’s duties will include but not be limited to the following: - Work directly with Operation, Engineering and Whole Life teams as well as Raytheon suppliers
Hands on failure analysis approach, providing an engineering sustaining support function
Production Component Failure Trending Required
4+ years of experience working with Components, CCAs and Electronic Assemblies including CCA design and mixed signal design Electrical Failure Analysis on component CCA's and subassemblies. U.S.

Support will include inspections associated with the build and test of assemblies as well as review of test set-ups against the procedures and data against pass/fail criteria. Required Experience
Must be US Citizen able to pass background checks needed for Secret level clearance + 2 year technical degree or equivalent.
At least 3 years of quality inspection experience on spaceflight programs.
Must have or be able to certified to J-STD-001 Space Addendum and NASA-STD-8739.1,2,3,and 4.
Must be willing and able to work periodic on-call support over off-shifts, weekends, and holidays and willing to work different shifts as needed throughout the year. Desired Skills
