The St. Paul Division produces aluminum die castings for highly cosmetic, complex and difficult-to-fill parts from concept to solution. Specializing in flash-free, net-shape production, we ensure that aluminum die cast components meet exact design specifications and are delivered on time and within budget.
As a member of a cross-functional team, pull and set molds in a timely manner. May make some decisions independently that have a beginner level of impact on operation. Completes proper paperwork and documentation accordance with Pace work instructions. Properly completes assigned red/green list
Duties and Responsibilities:
Under Pulls and set molds in a timely manner, target in one (1) hour or less
Set up the operator's work stations in accordance with the company standard.
Start up and shut down of machines, troubleshooting when needed or directed
Mixing and staging raw materials.
Maintaining an accurate record of materials used.
Communicate with the Molding Manager, or any other member of Management, of issues or needs that arise.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Run machines at various times
Ensures all checklists related to this position are retained – red/green paperwork, blue sheet checks and any additional paperwork given.
Ability to read and follow production schedule.
Moving product and materials.
Perform other associated duties as needed to continue the operation of the department in the most productive and efficient manner.
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Ability to take instruction and constructive criticism.
Must be able to operate crane.

Reporting to the Stamping / Die Manufacturing Supervisor,the person in this role will support Toyota Motor's Manufacturing Kentucky(TMMK), Toyota's largest North America manufacturing operation. The facilityproduces over 500,000 vehicles annually. Production includes assembly of the

What you'll be doing
Perform welding, grinding, operate cranes, machining, & fabrication.
Perform machining, finishing, assembly and tuning of dies.
Support in line tryouts or line calls of dies.
Carry out emergency repairs if any issues arise.
Perform die modifications for surface quality and accuracy.
Work in a team setting.
Occasionally travel to support off site activities at NAMC's and Toyota affiliates.
Log daily book entries to communicate activities, issues and progress of die work.
What you bring
Experience building and/or maintaining high volume stamping dies, welding ability, spotting ability and hand finishing skills.
Knowledge of cutting and forming sheet metal stamping operation
Experience in industrial maintenance
Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge

Plan, lay out, construct and repair a variety of tools, blanking, forming, piercing dies, ordinary progressive and combination dies, drill jigs with fairly difficult locating and nesting features, ordinary form tools, four slide tools, fixtures and attachments for close operations, multiple location gauges, some special tools, fixtures and parts for experimental and repair work. Design is usually available but considerable work must be done from sample parts or sketches involving the development of mechanisms and details.
Interpret drawings, sketches or samples and plan and lay out work in proper operational sequence. Visualize finished job, make necessary mathematical calculations and select allowances for metal flow, shrinkage, spring, fitting and finishing. Recognize and report for correction any errors in blueprints that would interfere with production.
Perform a wide variety of machine tool operations requiring difficult and unusual set-ups and methods to maintain very close tolerances and interrelationships. Perform skilled bench work such as filing, lapping, scraping, fitting, timing, indexing, assembly and adjustment to insure correct fits and proper operation. Make necessary tool tryouts, diagnose and correct troubled. Detect faulty operation or defective material; confer with foreman on unusual conditions.
Work involves a very wide range of unusual and difficult machine tool and bench operations requiring a high degree of skill and thorough knowledge of toolmaking practices and procedures; making of correct decisions as to fits, finishes, machining and assembly sequences are essential to produce workable parts; workable out mechanism details and maintain very close tolerances and interrelationships.
