Working as a Die Cutter Operator, you would set up, adjust and operate all die cutting equipment to produce a quality finished product that meets customer specifications and quality standards.
You would also have the following essential duties and responsibilities;
Access the batching system to view batch lists and identify priority jobs to be completed for gang runs
Review job tickets and plan work processes to meet customer specifications for custom jobs
Make machine (s) ready, set up assigned machines to specifications and run products as required
Quality control of completed jobs, providing updates on job status and schedule to the supervisor
Make adjustments as needed to maintain specifications and timely flow of materials
Monitor assigned machine during run to ensure machine is maintaining the proper registration and proper cut and scoring specifications
Unload machine and stack materials on pallets
Ensure the completion of jobs meeting quality and quantity requirements
Troubleshoot machine problems, resolve if possible, notifying Floor Supervisor
Maintain proper machine maintenance and lubrication
Remove recycled paper and unload scrap trailer
Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.
Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations
Maintain departmental housekeeping standards and perform other duties as assigned
Report any and all workplace hazards, work related injuries, illnesses, and/or near misses to management immediately
Wear all assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required
Keep all work areas/work stations in compliance with our housekeeping guidelines
Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations
Able to read and comprehend job tickets and customer specifications
Able to communicate effectively with other employees

MISSION / SUMMARY: Responsible for preparing and running Bobst die cutting equipment safely and efficiently, while producing a quality product.
JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include, but are not limited to the following.
Understand and comply with plant and cutting department rules, regulations, and procedures
Identify and operate cutting feeder, feed table, front lays, cutting platten, stripping unit, blanking unit, trim removal section, scanner, and control panel
Prepare make ready, break down and set up stripping units, blanking units, and female grid
Identify quality issues including cracked scores, skip crease, glue assist, nicks, blanker damage, and rough cuts
Handle and prioritize multiple tasks, read cutting schedule, read status of current jobs
Accurately complete all paperwork
Use computer to find information on upcoming jobs, lookup tooling locations, input production data
Must be able to work overtime
Responsible for understanding and adhering to all GMP, safety, food safety, SQF, HACCP and food defense procedures (Training will be provided)
Other duties as assigned
BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE:
- 2 or more years' experience operating Bobst die cutting equipment
- SAP experience preferred
EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE:
- High school degree or GED
General schedule is an 8 or 12 hour shift, however, employee must be willing to work alternate schedules occasionally; that may include early mornings, nights, and/or weekends and be punctual while doing so
Standing for extended periods of time up to 12-hours.
Occasional Lifting up to 20 lbs.
Reading computer screen or other electronic devices
Use of various office hand and electrical tools or equipment

Perform manual and machine operator tasks related to the set-up, maintenance and operations of the Bobst Die Cutter. Responsible for the safety of crew, quantitative and qualitative die cutter performance.
Job Duties/ Responsibilities:
Make-ready, adjust and run job as efficiently as possible to meet safety and productivity standards.
Examine job order to determine quantity to be cut, stock specifications and special die cutting instructions
Examine cutting dies for visual defects and apply correcting solution to repair minor defects
Make necessary adjustments to ensure quality
Ensure information is communicated between shifts
Ensure Company Safety, Quality and Production standards are met
Perform proper and required maintenance as well as cleaning of Die Cutter
Maintenance duties include stooping under machinery, entering confined spaces and climbing ladders.
Must input information into computer for proper tracking of inventory and waste.
Occasional bending, reaching, twisting and stooping
Occasional squatting and kneeling for cleaning and clearing jams
In depth knowledge of the mechanics and capabilities of die cutting press
Strong Mechanical aptitude/skills
Requires experience running, troubleshooting and quality control
Ability to work under minimal supervision, understand technical written (and verbal) instructions, set-up the die cutter, and carry out instructions

Sets up and operates machine to cut folding cartons; ensure that the Die Cutter is Operating in the safest possible manner; that the quality of the produced product exceeds our customer's expectations and that performance goals are achieved. . Machine Operator Steel Cutting Department
Responsible for work in different areas of shop. Package sheet/trim materials. Move finished materials to trucks with cranes & forklifts.
Overhead crane and forklift experience a plus.
Mechanically inclined. Crane Operators & Loaders: are responsible for loading trucks, using overhead crane and forklifts using order set verification.
Must be able to lift at least 60 lbs.
Must be able to work at heights over 5'10".
Warehouse background, Crane skills, and Forklift Skills are very helpful.
Press Rollforming Operators: Operate 21 foot Jorns Press Break for light gauge steel. Read blue prints and set up special parts for production.
1-3 years Jorns or similar press experience required.
Must be able to read Blueprints.
Ability to read tape measure to sixteenths.

As a Plasma Cutting Operator, you'll operate manual and automatic thermal cutting equipment to trim formed heads to dimensions, contour, and bevel requirements as specified by blueprints, layouts, work orders and templates.
