What makes a Successful Die Punch Operator?
We want you to join our team! As a Fiserv Die Punch Operator, you'll be trained on how to set up and operate production equipment, specifically the Die Punch machine as part of the overall production process for secured cards. The die punch machine used to precisely cut a hole into a plastic card, for inserting of the EMV chip. You will also learn how to program computer batches from an order ticket to load data, which will allow you to produce large batches of product (secured cards), at one time. Additionally, you will carry out the task of making adjustments to the die punch machine to ensure work accuracy while responding to equipment error messages. You will perform quality checks, confirm quantity produced, ensure the batch is correct per the order ticket, and set up the equipment. In this role, you can expect the following:
Receiving on the job paid training and work in a climate controlled environment.
Set up and operate the die punch machine to perform specific functions such as: binding, assembling, gluing, threading and attaching fronts and backs of secured cards.
Responsible for maintaining machine, loading/unloading jobs and performing minor machine maintenance.
Determine number of secured cards to be produced, number received and number complete via the job ticket.
Perform manual sheet feeding, to begin automated process.
Perform "Final" inspection of produced cards prior to audit and delivery to the next stage in the process.
Documenting results - written and data entry on the computer.
Willing to perform additional assigned tasks to help production.
Be mobile and in a standing/walking position with ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
Use your hands to handle objects and to perform keyboarding as well as to reach and grab objects.
Sometimes it is necessary to climb, stretch, crouch or kneel.
Successful performance requires good vision including close vision.
Work with associates in team effort to further company goals concerning productivity, safety, quality and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
Basic qualifications for consideration:
High School Diploma or equivalent, but not required.
Experience in a dynamic, high volume production environment and understanding of production concepts.
Strong attention to detail.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Deep knowledge of warehouse equipment to stage shipments for pickup.
Deep knowledge of card print production and quality inspections.
Demonstrates working knowledge of operating a computer workstation.
Ability to work overtime during peak periods and overtime.

Generates quotes for all customer and services within the assigned scope of responsibility to achieve Company volume and profitability growth objectives. Build strong relationships with customers. Support customers with engineering support to bring products to production.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Graduation from high school or equivalent.
Experience and Skills Required: Must have at least two years of recent BTD Manufacturing related tool and die and/or design experience and a total of six years in metal stamping, metal fabrication environment, which includes the following skills and abilities:
Must understand technology and Company products extremely well.
Must have developed good/key relationships with internal and external customers.
Must have demonstrated the ability to seek out and identify new opportunities within assigned accounts.
Must have the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
Must be capable of working with a high degree of personal discipline.

SUMMARY: Analyzes specifications, lays out metal stock, sets up and operates machine tools, and fits and assembles parts to fabricate and repair metalworking dies, cutting tools, jigs and fixtures, gauges, and machinist hand tools in accordance with quality standards.

Master Tool & Die Maker
Construct, develop and repair machine metal work pieces such as patterns and machines, tool, or die parts. A variety of machine tools are used such as radial drill press, lathes, milling machines, shapers and grinders.

Performs all competency requirements, including the following;
Machine Set-Up: Competent in the set up and operation of all standard department equipment such as but not limited to: lathes, milling machines, drill presses, shapers, saws and grinders.

As a 3rd Shift Bobst Die Cutter Operator your responsibilities will include:
- Setup and operation of all the standard Bobst presses.
- Loading and unloading pallets of material for the presses.
- Stripping waste and removing waste materials.
- Performing troubleshooting tasks, making all necessary adjustments to maintain quality of diecut materials and productivity of the die-cutting operation.
- Effectively preparing Make-Readies and changing tooling in standard Bobst presses. They can make effective machine and tooling adjustments in the Feeder, Platen and Stripping Station to register printed material.
- Recognizing defects on dies and strippers and taking appropriate action to ensure problems are corrected.
- Running the Aerator-Jogger and the Balers. This includes dumping loads, weighing and storing bales along with general troubleshooting and changing wire spools.
- Ensuring accurate production and quality record keeping and entering Goods Receipts quantities into SAP.
- Training new employees.
- Keeping general work area clean and performing Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) tasks.
- Understanding and following Die-cutting department quality work instructions .

JOB DUTIES SUMMARY:
- Sets up, adjusts, and operates all machine tools and equipment necessary to make,
alter, or repair a wide variety of complicated tools, jigs, fixtures, dies, molds, and
gauges, and performs required bench operations such as die assembling, laying out,
fitting, adjusting, and assembling.
- Lays out work from samples, blueprints, or sketches. Tool Makers select machines and
Make determinations about operation sequences. They make set-ups and selects tooling,
speeds, and feeds, and performs required machine and bench operations.
- Diagnoses and remedies trouble on all machine tooling. Dismantles machine
tooling and replaces worn or defective parts. Makes fixtures for machines where
parts are not standard.
- May require in-press die repair and trouble shooting on progressive, transfer or other die set
- May perform other duties from time to time of assisting maintenance in machine
repair work. Assists and instructs others. Maintains good housekeeping practices
in working area.

SKILL SUMMARY: Requires a thorough knowledge of shop math, machine and

Requires a high degree of ability to plan and perform work of a difficult nature where only general methods of procedure are available. Tool & Die Makers must be able to work with only general supervision.
Must have a Journeyman's card or proof of eight years experience in that trade. Equivalent hours of credit will be awarded for Military experience, technical course work as well as technical manufacturing experience such as CNC programming, etc.

Position Title Tool and Die Maker – 2nd Shift – OH #5589
Location Cleveland, OH
Company is looking for a tool and die maker for 2nd Shift 3:30pm to 12am. Part of the job requirement is to go to the press to handle in-press repairs. The ideal candidate will have worked on progressive tooling.
Capable of building and assembling all sizes of progressive and single station dies for the auto and appliance industries.
Proficient at trouble shooting new and used tools and possess the skills to develop, try out and debug new tooling to become production ready.
Document all changes to original die design and continuously look for ways to improve processes in appropriate forms.
Work alongside the Tool Room Supervisor to provide weekly updates on the status of the tool, the percentage of completion, and the number of hours yet to be completed.
Perform daily clean up in their work areas and after using machinery.
Operate press equipment during tryout.
