Responsible for reading and understanding job orders. Confirm understanding of all job specs and ensure there are no discrepancies in job documents.
Inspect plates and receiver(s) to ensure accuracy of provided material to job specifications. Inspect material to ensure free of defects or blemishes. Review plotter to ensure scoring and copy correct per customer specifications.
Adhere printing plates to receiver to match plotter and ensure proper reproduction on press through varies mounting techniques (opticheck, plot, flat and pin mounting).
Ensure final proof is accurate to mounted plates.
QC all work performed following the SOP's. Check off, sign and date checklists.
Track start and end times of production through MySGS One to ensure proper billing of mount time.
Communicate important information when handing off jobs to co-workers/next shift.
Keep work area organized and clean.
Practice and comply with EH&S policies to maintain a safe work environment.
Educational & Experience Minimum Requirements
Experience in Flexographic or prepress industry or prior manufacturing background a plus.
Ability to read and comprehend job orders and technical specs. Skilled in understanding measurements and ability to read a ruler.
Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
Able to take direction and self-motivated.
Good attention to detail while working under pressure and multitasking.
Dependable and punctual. Ability to work up to 12 hour shifts and willingness to work weekends and overtime as scheduled.

Job Title: Plate Mounter
Hours: This position will train on A-shift and after training be on B or C shift .
Cleaning, organizing and maintaining work areas.
Correctly laying out the job, mounting the plates and making sure the eye mark is in the proper location.
Must be able to read the schedule and anticipate press changeover timing.
Identify mounting priorities of jobs on the schedule.
Cleaning, organizing and maintaining plate cylinders and cylinder inventory.
Cleaning, organizing and maintaining all printing sleeves and sleeve inventory.
Cleaning and maintaining mounting machines.
Cleaning plates, demounting plates, checking plate condition and refiling plate jackets.
Understands cylinder selection, sleeve selection, sticky back selection and gear selection. Make sure the combination creates the correct repeat.
Mounting and demounting build up sleeves.
Checking cylinder TIR and sending to the machine shop for repair.
Remounting plates, moving plates in the press and changing the eye mark locations when necessary.
Communicate with the mounter from the previous shift.
Collects numbers from running jobs from each press at the beginning of each shift.
Reorder plates as needed
Fill out the daily mounting report, production reports, quality check sheets.
Adhere to safety policies and procedures and all Trinity Packaging-Rocky Mount Division policies and procedures as included in the employee handbook to ensure safety for self and fellow employees and to ensure behavior is appropriate in the workplace.
Perform job duties accurately so that other personnel and departments and ultimately customers receive correct information and/or product.

Ink Technician/Plate Mounter - Pressure Sensitive (3Rd Shift)

Belmark is seeking an Ink Technician/Plate Mounter to assist production by handling the mixing of inks, adjusting color on press, and providing all inks needed to press. Also, you will be responsible for accurately mounting plates onto cylinders, washing plates and filing them according to job number. With a focus on innovation and customer satisfaction, our Ink Technicians/Plate Mounters are able to work in a friendly environment with a potential to grow with the company. The work hours are 10:00 p.m.
6:00 a.m., Sunday
Thursday. 3rd shift differential is $1.00 per hour more.

Mix ink using formulas and match to set color standard.
Bring inks to and from press to ink room.
Follow instruction to ensure presses have enough ink to run.
Assist press operators as needed.
Ensure plates are mounted accurately, according to rewind position.
Ensure all plates for a job are mounted in a timely manner, according to the schedule, to keep presses running at all times.
Wash plates from completed jobs.
May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requires education equivalent to two (2) years of high school.
Ability to identify and distinguish colors.
Knowledge of and ability to utilize the English language fluently.
Math skills including ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers, decimals and fractions.
Requires nearly constant concentration and attention to detail.
Regular attendance required. May be required to work overtime.

Accurately and efficiently mount plates with a minimum of supervision in a safe manner.
Duties and Responsibilities
Work in a safe and effective manner at all times
Follow all OSHA and WISHA requirements for entire work shift (PPE, Safe Practices, GMP’ s)
Responsible for having all jobs mounted before the press needs them
Ensure all food safety and quality standards are met at all times
Inspect all printing plates for all jobs scheduled to run two weeks in advance
Strip plates and ensure they are clean before filing them back in to plate storage shelves
If plates remain mounted on a sleeve they are to be wrapped and labeled so they can be easily identified
Inspect all plates after they run to determine if the plates need to be replaced
Reorder plates if needed
Check in new plates by overlaying to plotter and comparing separations to Art Log file. Label each plate with part number, color, date received and shelf number
Create and update Mounting Layouts as needed. Keep plate mileage logging up-to-date
Follow Mounting Layout to set cameras and select proper stickyback
Glue leading and trailing edges of plates and ensure plates are free of all glue hairs
Stage mounted sleeves for press
Fill out Mounting Pre-Mount sheet upon completion of mounting entire job. Check all fields that apply
Wash all sleeves with Iso-Propyl alcohol before returning to sleeve racks
File all print packets away
Perform proper startup, cleanup, and shutdown procedures
Cover for other press department personnel in times of absence
Keep records updated at all times
Assist Press Operator with any plate issues that need to be fixed
Keep plate and packet storage clean and organized
Minimum 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
Must be able to read tape measure
Basic math and computer skills

Plan, layout and perform required bench and machine operations to construct, alter and repair intricately designed and constructed tools, dies, fixtures, cavity mold dies, gauges where a high degree of skill and extensive knowledge of plastic mold tooling practice and metal tooling practice application is required. Work from complicated drawings, specifications or concepts. Use a wide variety of precision instruments for exacting measurements.
Lay out work and plan machining and bench procedures. Perform difficult machining operations requiring complicated setups which may involve improvising of tooling and machines for adaptations beyond the normal range in capacities of available equipment. Sets up and operates a variety of CNC mills, CNC EDM's and related CAD equipment machine tools to perform precision machining operations.
Perform critical bench and assembly operations to fit, align, calibrate, adjust, assemble and finish work. Assume responsibility for quality workmanship and dimensional accuracy of assigned work. May include responsibility for training an apprentice Tool and Die Maker or other tool room personnel on a project basis.
Will also operate related CAD/CAM equipment. Analyzes molded parts to determine tool repair and adjustments required with minimum supervision. Responsible for observing safe work habits and cleanliness of work area.
Proceeds under general supervision. Performs other duties as may be requested. Responsible for using standardized inspection methods and SPC as requested.

The primary responsibility of this role is toperform preventative maintenance on Stamping / Die mechanical equipment inaccordance with standards.
Reporting to the Stamping / Die Manufacturing Supervisor,the person in this role will support Toyota Motor's Manufacturing Kentucky(TMMK), Toyota's largest North America manufacturing operation. The facilityproduces over 500,000 vehicles annually. Production includes assembly of the
Camry, Camry Hybrid, Avalon, and Lexus ES350. TMMK also builds 4-cylinder andV6 engines and powertrain parts.
What you'll be doing
Perform welding, grinding, operate cranes, machining, & fabrication.
Perform machining, finishing, assembly and tuning of dies.
Support in line tryouts or line calls of dies.
Carry out emergency repairs if any issues arise.
Perform die modifications for surface quality and accuracy.
Work in a team setting.
Occasionally travel to support off site activities at NAMC's and Toyota affiliates.
Log daily book entries to communicate activities, issues and progress of die work.
What you bring
Experience building and/or maintaining high volume stamping dies, welding ability, spotting ability and hand finishing skills.
Knowledge of cutting and forming sheet metal stamping operation
Experience in industrial maintenance
Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge
Demonstrated success in troubleshooting and problem-solving

Repairs or modifies stamping dies, including progressive dies and uses standard conventional machine tools.
Assist fabrication department to set up, diagnose, or repairs dies in fabrication area or heavy press.
Builds or modifies assembly fixtures, or assembly assist tools.
Builds detail components per detail blue print, specification's, or duplicates existing details.
Must be skilled in building, troubleshooting, repairing, preventive maintenance and have good working knowledge of sheetmetal type, draw, progressive, transfer, piercing, forming dies and high speed fin stamping dies for aluminum with little or no supervision.
Must be capable of studying specifications such as blueprints, sketches, sample parts or models. compute plan dimensions, and perform machining of components using drill press, milling machine, lathe , grinder, saw and other machines.
Must be able to examine defective parts to determine cause of defect and repair or maintenance of injection molds. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor/ mananger.
Must be able to use measuring equipment (to include tape measure, micrometer etc.) for verification of parts to specification. Must be able to design, layout, fabricate and assemble tools, jigs and fixtures for a variety of parts
GED or High School Diploma. Completion of formal DOL approved Tool & Die Aprrenticeship Program is preferred.
6-8 years experience of Tool & Die work experience in high volume sheet metal fabrication shop is required.
Must be 18 years old.
Must be legal to work in US.
Must successfully pass background check and drug test.
Must have satisfactory job references.
Must have good attendance record.
