Responsible for the review and process development of new technologies and product types. Work hand in hand with Sales, the Customer, Engineering, Process Engineering and Manufacturing to ensure new technologies are accurately quoted and can be manufactured with acceptable yields while meeting the Customer’s needs. Follow critical builds throughout the manufacturing cycle to ensure builds are successful, adjusting processes as required. Provide feedback to the appropriate groups on process adjustments that affect pricing, cycle times, manufacturing techniques and tooling requirements.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the printed circuit industry and must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Senior Industrialization Engineer, Printed Circuit Boards
Under general direction, supports the introduction of new products to the manufacturing facility in accordance with the RA Common Product Development (CPD) processes. Works with Design and Manufacturing Engineering to ensure optimum product and process design for manufacturability.
Develops and implements manufacturing layout and processes and associated documentation, estimates manufacturing cost, and coordinates execution of prototype and pilot activities. Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Exercises good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
May lead small special project teams within or external to the Industrialization group. The selected candidate will understand PCB assembly and manufacturing processes and constraints. S/he will have a solid understanding of design for manufacturing and design for compliance methodologies associated with printed circuit board assembly.
S/he will be proficient in IPC-A-610, soldering processes, coatings, underfill, manufacturing test, high density designs, through hole and surface mount technologies, board stackup and pad designs, design rules and tuning manufacturing processes. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Actively serve as the Industrialization representative, in all phases, on NPI/Continuation Engineering project teams.
Collaborate with design team to transition PCBA from development to manufacturing and works very closely to the team in defining design for assembly guidelines. Develop and update the Manufacturing Plan. Identify assembly equipment, tooling, and fixture requirements.
Participate in the procurement, installation and validation activities. Lead Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) analyses. Track product manufacturing cost throughout the NPI project.
Lead Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA). Create Documented Work Instructions (DWI). Coordinate prototype and pilot build and evaluation activities. Ensure compliance to all production environmental, health, and safety requirements. Facilitate final acceptance of all new assembly processes Apply engineering problem solving skills and familiarity of Rockwell Automation systems to perform duties and responsibilities.
Initiate the identification, development and implementation of cost reduction and process improvement projects. May lead a small team to complete these projects. Exhibit good organizational and interpersonal skills.

Die Punch Press Set Up Operator
Operate and make required Set-ups on presses performing a limited variety of component operations, setting dies, adjusting stroke, attaching and adjusting safety equipment, working with parts similar in nature, but varying in size or detail. Obtain first piece inspection release, check work during run for dimensions, burrs, cracking or buckling, and visually inspect components for obvious damage or defects before swaging.
Work from drawings, shop orders, samples, use a limited variety of measuring equipment. Occasionally-instruct operator as to special job conditions or safety precautions. Notify supervisor regarding the necessity of reconditioning, difficulties with parts or tooling, and malfunction of equipment. Move material, parts, or containers, using hand truck, segregate and remove scraps.
· Must have a minimum of 2 years of punch press set-up experience.
· Know how to program Smartpac.
· Operate and Setup 150, 200 and 300 ton press.
· Use of measuring instruments. Scales, veneer calipers, indicators, and height gages.
· Adjust fixtures to bring parts to spec with the use of hand tools, drive pin punches, and hex wrenches.
Follow the prescribed safety practice, including the use of all safety equipment furnished.

The successful candidate must be able to:
- Assemble printed circuit boards by placing component parts in or on the proper location and orientation
- Prepare assembled printed circuit boards by “masking” or otherwise covering areas not to be soldered
- Solder parts onto boards (Touch-Up)
- Prepare parts for assembly by bending and or cutting components as instructed

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
