PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Pages overhead and beeps hospital personnel and doctors, as requested by management. Places outside calls for physicians.
Answers calls promptly and accurately in a precise and clear manner with the ability to remain calm in a difficult situation.
Activates the CD player for daily announcement of morning and afternoon devotional prayer over the paging system.
Monitors all fire alarms, generator alarms, code pink, code blue, oxygen alarms, FPL Alarms and FPL monitor system, weather alarm and emergency 2222 phone for disasters.
Utilizes and keeps charged cell phone and 2-way radio for contact with Facilities and Security personnel. Tests and charges disaster cellular phones on a weekly basis for working status
Contacts on-call personnel after hours and on weekends as requested by the Nursing Supervisor. Documents all call-backs, PBX related problems and codes, indicating name, time and date of each occurrence. Obtains accurate and complete information pertaining to reported incident.
Maintains an accurate knowledge of hospital disaster codes, and properly announces them in an accurate and efficient manner, according to procedure.
Keeps and maintains an updated call list of Administration to notify in the event of a disaster, notifies surrounding facilities.
Distributes cell phones to assigned departments in the event of a hospital phone system failure. Records time and name of person receiving phone and confirms the return of phones to the PBX
Willingly adjusts personal schedule, on short notice, to meet with the demands of the department.

WATER PRODUCTION Job Summary: Assists in the operation of water production plants to control flow and processing of water.
Regular and timely attendance at work.
Assists and follows directives of Crew Leader and Supervisor.
Monitors control panels and adjusts valves and gates manually or by remote control to regulate flow of sewage and/or regulate flow of water.
Observes variations in operating conditions and interprets meter and gauge readings and tests results to determine load requirements.
Starts and stops pumps, engines, and generators to control flow of raw sewage through filtering, settling, aeration, and sludge digestion processes.
Maintains log of operations and records meter and gauge readings.

Monitors operation of plant and makes necessary changes to keep operating as directed by the Crew Leader; maintains compliance with Texas Commission on Environmental Quality regulations and permit requirements.

Serves as "essential personnel" and remain available for immediate call-in due to any natural or man made disaster, or any other event the Director of Public Works, Assistant City Manager, or the City Manager deem necessary.

Education, Experience, and Licenses:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
Two (2) years experience in Waste Water Treatment, Waste Water Collection, Waste Water Lab, Water Collection, and Water Safety.
Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) Licenses: Class "C" Waste Water Treatment or the ability to obtain within one (1) year of hire for Wastewater position. TCEQ Class "C" Ground Water State Certification required or the ability to obtain the certification in 18 months after hire date for Water Production position.
Valid, Class "C" Texas Driver's License is required.
