Under strict supervision, assists during rigging-up and rigging-down of cementing service equipment on work locations to include spotting of cement storage vessels, pre-mixing of spacer fluids, rigging-up appropriate data monitoring equipment. Learns basic oil well operations including but not limited to: pipe capacities and volume/height math, plug landing pressures, absolute volumes (including total water requirements for job), hydrostatic and differential pressure, resulting forces, balanced plugs, bulk cement blending calculations to include liquid additives and weighted spacers, pressure to reverse, and determining burst and collapse.
Assists in the operation of some or all of the following: cement pumping and mixed equipment, blenders, liquid additive metering systems, centrifugal pumps, data acquisition systems, Automatic Density Control (ADC) systems, bulk cement blending, delivery, and storage systems, manifold equipment, and cementing plug releasing tools. Assists in the performance of pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and associated paperwork/reports. Understands hazardous materials, job, wash up and discharge procedures.
Verifies correct line up of valves on bulk systems and surface manifold equipment. Job tasks, correctly performed, have minimal impact upon the viability of the organization. Error is readily ascertainable by the supervisor and can be corrected.
Skills are typically acquired through successful completion of high school or similar education and 3-6 months of experience as an Operator Asst-Cementing I. Licensure to drive commercial equipment may be required. May require I-Learn courses:
Cementing II and Service Tools I. Given the nature of oil field service work, the ability to communicate effectively with others is necessary. Promotes safety awareness and environmental consciousness, and complies with all applicable safety and environmental procedures and regulations.

This position entails operating, programming, and analyzing the BAS, and it reports to the Mechanical and Plumbing Supervisor.
Manage and maintain the BAS
Identifying, developing and instituting BAS modifications to drive mechanical and technical labor efficiencies and low energy usage measures.
Ensure that any modifications are effectively communicated.
Overall safety, thermal comfort, optimal performance, and reliability shall be the daily focus.
Train technicians on manual, automated and global trending of devices and systems to facilitate troubleshooting.
Communicate system deficiencies in the DDC/pneumatic systems, recommend appropriate changes, assist in coordinating activities between various groups, provide project management direction and training as needed, and develop, document, and implement formal metrics and goals reporting.
Review and provide written comments and recommendations on related renovation and new construction drawings to ensure the project and design team has adhered to client and industry standards.
As appropriate, attend design, construction, and turnover meetings to review and comment on the sequence of operations, including operating schedules, set points, alarms, manufacturer and operational limits, PID loop parameters, and opportunities for relationship based control.
Create and utilize the BAS audit tools to ensure system communications, performance, and security are consistent and maintained.
Required Knowledge and Experience
Minimum of 4 years BAS operations & HVAC service experience
Preference is given to an associate's degree in a related technical field
Prior experience assessing BAS hardware and software to create plans that optimize system performance including quantifiable opportunities that result in energy savings along with tracking, verification, and reporting of results
Ability to manage, service, diagnosis and implement corrective actions within a large campus system consisting of complex building control systems
Have a strong working knowledge of complex hydronic and air based systems, instrumentation, valves, actuators, and other types of controls
Direct experience with Carrier, JCI, and/or American Automatrix Control Systems
Excellent analytical and communications skills
Working familiarity of IT networks and computer systems and programming
Ability to respond to emergencies in off-hours on a 24/7 basis

The purpose of the class is to perform skilled technical and manual work in the daily operation of the County's wastewater treatment plant; to provide instruction and leadership of lower-level operators as assigned; to prepare and maintain required records and reports, and to perform related work as required. Direct and coordinate the safe movement of railroad traffic in a specified territory.
This position is a Full-Time, seasonal position determined by the shipping season on the Great Lakes.
Primary Activities and
Ensure compliance with all railroad rules, procedures and regulations for safety, operations and the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA).
Direct and coordinate railroad traffic, issue permits and authorities, monitor all rail movements and maintain computerized records of all activities.
Know assigned territory and keep informed of changes in the physical characteristics
Maintain familiarity with scheduled trains, destinations, times of arrival and departures.
Communicate with personnel on weather or any environmental conditions affecting train movement
Coordinate movement of trains according to operating plan and customer needs
