This manufacturing company is seeking a Dip Utility Operator for an immediate, full-time opportunity. You will work Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Wash and set mold lines for robot dipping as indicated on daily department schedule
- Data input into computer terminal during preparation of dip lines
- Maintain, transfer, or scrap out slurry mixes and etch tanks as indicated
- Clean and maintain rotary and Shell O Matic Sanders as production and process control scheduling dictates
- Notify Process Control whenever problems arise relative to the shell building process. This includes the verification of incoming materials, as well as the physical building of the mix
- Daily upkeep of the mold preparation dip room and ceramic storage areas
- Maintain various equipment and zone logs
- Strict compliance to all plant safety rules, procedures, and scrap reporting
- Sand blast components associated with the dipping process
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Demonstrate proficiency of applicable procedure instructions
- Become licensed to operate a tow motor and hand lift truck
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must have the ability to follow all plant safety rules and operating procedures
- Must be willing to work flexible hours and overtime
- Must be safety-conscious and detail-oriented

FUNCTIONS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Perform somewhat diversified duties to shell build gated assemblies.Perform manual dipping operations.
Immerse assemblies in wetting and coating solutions to obtain complete coverage of all surfaces.Visually inspect for complete coverage.Place in temporary storage for drying.
Wax-eliminate, burnout, patch, clean and prepare shells for casting, as required.
Perform regular established process control checks of material and other conditions to assure compliance with specifications.
Prepare and maintain required paperwork and reports.
Detect faulty operations, defective material and report these and any unusual conditions to supervisor.Follow prescribed safety regulations.Maintain clean and orderly work areas.
Perform related duties, as assigned.

Description Primary Function: Entry level position for the Dip Brazing and Chemical Cleaning department. Will be trained in the preparation, assembly, dip brazing and pressure testing of precision aluminum parts and assemblies utilizing military specifications, manufacturing work instructions or procedures. This will include but is not limited to; preparation, cleaning, assembling, dip brazing, heat treating and chem film coating of aluminum parts used in the manufacturing of airbourne radar antenna systems. Major Areas of Training and Ultimate
Performs chemical cleaning of parts in preparation for assembly, painting, dip brazing or chem-film coating.
Will perform mechanical assembly on a multitude of different devices ranging from semi-routine simple assemblies to one off highly complex mechanical assembly.
Will heat treat parts and assemblies to the required temper per work instruction or procedure.
Does in-process inspection, documents results, maintains records,to ensure fabricated parts meet drawingrequirements.
Performs pressure and salt testing of brazed assemblies as required.
Cleaning of assemblies and parts after brazing or heat treating.
Maintains salt bath and chemical cleaning lines.
Maintains a “6SCompliant work area”.
Maintain full compliance with respect to all EH&S and safety requirements.
Qualifications Education/Experience/Training: Requires a high school diploma, an ability to do simple math and the knowledge to use a variety of hand tools, including sanders and grinders. Experience in precision mechanical assembly, brazing and or chemical cleaning is a plus but not required. The ability to read drawings (blueprints), operation sheets, and scales, is a plus but not required. Additional

Must have sufficient vision to see relative positions of small parts and able to discern symmetry and proper alignment.
Based upon your job duties, and need to visit different areas within the company, you may be exposed to; fumes, dust, toxic or caustic chemicals (well below OSHA and ACGIH exposure guidelines), outdoor weather, moving mechanical parts and/or be part of a hearing conservation program due to noise levels around certain equipment.
Performs limited, intermittent physical exertion. Work environment may contain noise, dust, heat, or chemicals.
Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment as necessary.
Ability to sit for extended periods of time.

Filter service, tire rotations, head light & bulb replacement and other minor services and repairs. Candidates must complete all safety, service and required training through Jiffy Lube University. This position will include responsibilities for keeping the shop organized, clean, safe and presentable.

Lube Techs can fall into one of three categories: Courtesy Tech, Lower Bay Technician, and Upper Bay Technician
The Jiffy Lube Courtesy Technician is responsible for courtesy duties, including but not limited to greeting customers, vacuuming vehicles’ interior floors, and washing the exterior windows. The Courtesy Technician also assists with the light checks and vehicle drive-ins/drive-outs.

Lower Bay Technician
The Jiffy Lube Lower Bay Technician is responsible for duties in the lower bay, including but not limited to removing and replacing the oil filter, proper installation of the oil drain plug, inspecting gearbox fluid levels, and lubricating chassis. The Lower Bay Technician may also be responsible for performing ancillary services in the lower bay.
- Complete under vehicle inspection.
- Remove oil drain plug.
- Loosen and remove the oil filter.
- Wipe the mounting plate/check filter spindle.
- Install oil drain plug.
- Install new oil filter.
- Wipe/lubricate fittings.
- Check/fill gearboxes.
- Report under vehicle status.
- Check oil filter and oil drain plug for leaks.
- Complete the quality inspection.
- Secure bay safety net.
- Depending on the size of the J-Team, check the exterior lights, wiper blades, belts, coolant level, clean the exterior windows, and guide vehicles out of the service bays.
Upper Bay Technician
The Jiffy Lube Upper Bay Technician is responsible for under-hood duties, including but not limited to removing and replacing the oil filter, checking and topping off fluids, checking tire pressure, adding oil, and performing ancillary duties as required.
- Enter license plate information.
- Provide customer name to Customer Service Advisor (if repeat customer).
- Guide vehicles in and out of the service bays.
- Perform the light check.
- Raise the vehicle hood.
- Remove the air filtration items.
- Determine oil filter application.
- Physically verify new oil filter.
- Determine, check, and adjust tire pressure.
- Check brake fluid.
- Check/fill battery, power steering, window washer fluids.
- Check/fill transmission fluid.
- Check/fill engine antifreeze.
- Install/reinstall new and ROC items.
