Title: Order Packer Shipper II Location:
United States-New York-Skaneateles Falls Other Locations: This important role on 3rd shift involves customer order transactions, assembling sets and pulling products to fill customer orders, as well as pre-boxing products/sets following released procedures. You will pick (kit), pack and ship both domestic and international orders.
You will be required to run Small Parcel and Trucking manifest systems such as Fed Ex and UPS. In this role, you will z-pick, z-pack, ship orders, and load/unload trucks at the docks. You may be required to pre-package material into issue quantities and locate it to the proper location.
In addition, you will perform inventory transactions, conduct cycle counts and issue materials. Other responsibilities may include working in the rack area using lift trucks, pallet jacks and hand trucks. Required Background:
High School Diploma. Familiarity with medical products and product numbers is desirable. You are knowledgeable of shipping/inventory control practices and are able to use a computer. You must be able to stand all day and lift heavy boxes (approx. 40 lbs.). Working overtime as necessary is required.
Job Summary: Package orders in accordance with work order instructions and established LMI’s procedures under direct supervision of Shipper 2 or Shipper 3.
Personnel shall process all customer products in a safe manner to eliminate damage during the packaging operation and transit to the customer.Essential Functions include but are not limited to: Read and understand work order requirements. Identify parts with printed and/or electronic pictures. Un-rack, un-mask, and solvent-clean parts, when required, prior to packaging and shipping. Responsible for selecting and moving trayed product from staging area and loading into trailers the quantities as ordered on the shipping orders. Verifies count by variety and records as required. Properly loads products in staging area onto the trailers.
Writes in product when placed in trailers, signs verification sheet and records information on necessary shipping documents.
Removes damaged trays and dollies from use and places in designated area for repair or disposal.
Secures and bar loads in a safe manner.
Unloads and stores purchased products in a designated area.
Trains/retrains as required by company training guidelines (i.e. annual GMPT).
Keeps equipment and area of assigned work neat and clean at all times. Assists other employees when possible.
During periods of unworked time or downtime, performs work as assigned by supervision.
Notifies supervision of any equipment problems or safety hazards.
