This position requires a minimum of 3 years experience in the mailing industry - specifically in a production related capacity.
Must be detail oriented with the ability to multitask. Must be comfortable working in a fast paced environment and meeting critical deadlines on a daily basis.
Previous operating experience of ink jet and inserting equipment is required along with a detailed knowledge of the USPS rules and regulations.
- Ability to stand for an eight-hour shift.
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds periodically. Some heavier lifting may be necessary.
- Ability to speak, read and communicate effectively in English.
- Have an uncompromising attention to detail to produce error free work.

Coordinates all phases of manufacturing and distribution of the client’s product while ensuring adherence to the specifications supplied to RRD by the client. Responsibilities
Receives direct mail campaigns from existing clients and executes all phases of production including communication and details necessary to successfully process orders through the appropriate production facility in a timely and efficient manner, without disruption, from inception through delivery.
Responsible for creating all production-related materials or documents such as part/plate matrices, production specs, imaging & order processing instructions, quality guidelines, communicating daily status and production schedules.
Conduct general proof reviews to ensure that all client and RMS standards are met.
Coordinate delivery schedules with customers on in-coming components for use in the direct mail package. Coordinate delivery schedules with other RRD facilities to ensure that all components are available for timely production at the finishing RMS facility.
Troubleshoot and traffic all production-related tasks. Identify production-related problems and solutions associated with client projects and participate in decision making with Client Services team. Expected to initiate solutions to complex or unusual issues, coordinating with sales as appropriate.
Attend client pre-planning, debrief, creative strategy, and any other production-related meetings as needed. Travel to client site, production facility or other sites as required. Attend press checks on behalf of customer or sales, if necessary.
Review all invoicing and dispute charges when discrepancies are discovered.
May be responsible for inputting, updating and maintaining forecast system for assigned accounts.
Manage and develop relationships with assigned accounts to further penetrate the business in a production capacity. Support sales initiatives by identifying additional opportunities within assigned accounts.
Support sales staff with procurement of new business. Maintain knowledge and understanding of company product lines, capabilities, market conditions, price and competitive activity within assigned accounts.
Facilitates the rollout of customer specifications for jobs and provides training that is specific to customer requirements for particular jobs to other employees as necessary.
Determine and document departmental best practices, special projects and SOP’s.

Conduct competitive bidding, procurement, price negotiations, and budgeting.
Interpret and review client’s mailplan and source documents to write data processing specifications, personalization, and mailshop instructions.
Manage project schedules and meet deadlines: set, synchronize, and drive schedules in cooperation with client, internal team, and external suppliers.
Perform multistage QC procedures, including print proofs, press approvals, data processing, editing, and additional value-added checking (fact checking).
Manage artwork, work orders, proofs, and change orders; obtain approvals. Accurately and quickly update all documents, departments, vendors, suppliers, and the client throughout project.
Monitor the mailing progress through proprietary metrics and USPS contacts for applicable clients.

Liaise with management, internal departments, and vendors/suppliers to troubleshoot problems and provide innovative solutions.
Conduct multiphase billing; coordinate cost documentation, invoicing, and postage reconciliation for accurate final billing.

Oversee creative development with creative agency and marketing strategist; ensure all assets meet print production standards and requirements for mailing and manage creative schedules.
Partner with line of business, database team and letter shop to ensure all data fields are captured appropriately to meet the requirements of the mail criteria and variable copy logic/programming.
Perform audits of mail file, creative assets (include pre-press production), live data personalization audits and insert sample reviews
Coordinate efforts with multiple internal groups and external vendors; monitor progress and make recommendations on work flow and timeliness to achieve completion of approved marketing programs in a timely, cost-effective, and efficient manner.
Provide direct marketing best practices and contribute to test and learn strategies for direct marketing campaigns, as well as the evaluation and reporting of campaign performance.
Manage external agencies and vendors in support of direct marketing campaigns.
Oversee campaign calendar and communicate with internal stakeholders regarding scope, timing and costs.

Requires a minimum of 5 or more years of professional marketing or product management experience.
Financial services experience is required; understanding of credit and loan products is preferred.
Experience with integrated, multi-channel marketing campaigns with strong emphasis on direct mail creative development and implementation is preferred.
Knowledge of customer databases, credit bureau pre-screen process, data processing, direct mail production, as well as experience in vendor management (marketing agencies and letter shops) is highly desirable.
Knowledge around direct marketing test and learn strategies, target audience selection, customer segmentation is a plus.
Experience in navigating business partners with effective communication and positive relationships are valuable.
Agency experience is a plus, but not required.
Ability to work independently to plan and manage complex projects in a matrix organization
Strong understanding of quantitative data analysis and an analytical mindset strongly preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication, project management, and problem solving skills.
