Principal Duties and Responsibilities 1. Receives, documents, prioritizes, and coordinates the timely execution and completion of Transport Service requests.
These requests (approximately 150 per eight-shift) are received via Meditech, telephone, and paging system. 2. Maintains daily log sheets and activity sheets for Transport and Courier Service activities. Performs various quantitative studies, as needed. 3.
Serves as primary contact person and problem solver between Transport Service and requesting departments. 4. Gathers data regarding Transport Service activities, and provides to the Transport Supervisor. Makes recommendations to improve Transport Service. 5.
Assists in interviewing, selecting, training, developing, coaching and evaluating Transport Service employees. Provides input into performance reviews of employees in Transport. 6. Oversees adequate staffing on the shift, based on need.
This includes calling other Transport Service personnel in to work in the event of sick calls or asking employees to stay beyond their regularly scheduled hours due to hospital need, within budgetary constraints. 7. Provides functional supervision of 3 to 11 employees, depending upon shift. Schedules breaks and lunches for transporters, adjusting times according to workload. 8. Receives general direction from Transport Supervisor.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED 1. Ability to read, comprehend, and follow verbal and written instructions.
Basic arithmetic skills, normally acquired through the completion of high school education or equivalent. Ability to read and understand English. 2. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to delegate and follow up on transporter assignments, and to deal effectively with all contacts. 3.
Good organizational and time management skills. 4. Sitting, standing, walking, carrying, and pushing, but the level or degree is dependent upon shift.
Acts as the communications hub for security and park operations. Responsible for controlling radio traffic, dispatching units, maintaining electronic inventory, and alarm monitoring.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Monitor phone and radio traffic for calls for service and dispatch appropriate units.
Make routine all-band announcements communicating attendance, ride operations, statuses, and other pertinent information.
Document and communicate park attendance, ride throughput, weather conditions, and ride wait times hourly to all park leadership and operational units.
Document all events during calls for service electronically via ReportExec Dispatch System.
Monitor alarm system for triggered alarms and coordinate with alarm company, local authorities, and park security units to respond.
Document findings of building checks, fire watches, and park patrol observations.
Inventory and distribute radios, keys, and other park assets to operational units.
Monitor general area CCTV surveillance systems for guest traffic.
Act as a liaison between county dispatcher, local law enforcement, and park management.
Testify to observations, actions, and reports when required.
Prepare legal documentation of reports.
Answer all guest and team member questions in a friendly manner and give appropriate guidance.
Adhere to all Six Flags and departmental policies.
Function as an integral team member of the department and park.
Maintain and manage a positive work environment by interacting in a professional and polite manner with guests, team members, and park management.
Comply with all Six Flags America guidelines and polices.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Monitors driver hours to ensure driver compliance with DOT and Bullet rules / regulations. Schedules alternative resources as required or directed.
Provides assistance to drivers, customers and field technicians having technical issues related to the TouchStar and/or GPS systems.
Coordinates the scheduling / performance of vehicle maintenance with the mechanics and safety team. Ensures that resources are in good condition for safe operation.
Maintains customer tasks, as requested.
Updates electronic customer files as information is received from the field.
Validates driver times and billing information as uploaded to the accounting system; proactively ensures accuracy of data.
Follows established procedures and customer guidelines in the creation and transmittal of billing statements. Helps with the transmittal / approval process by initiating and completing assigned responsibilities.
Ensures smooth transition from day to night dispatch by communicating current status and potential issues prior to end of scheduled workday.
Maintains on-call schedule, which includes first on-call and standby driver.
Performs daily follow up calls with pushers to ensure completion of tasks.

Participates in ongoing training, both independently and as directed. Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company.
