The In-Service Ship Design Functional Product Lead coordinates and actively participates in the development of ship modernization, alteration, and repair designs and specifications including prefabrication efforts related there unto. Leads the transformation of modernization/alteration concepts into specification packages for execution by LMCO or others. Actively engages in troubleshooting and correction of significant shipboard casualties.
Supports the resolution of class design issues, lessons learned and other activities relate to ship design and sustainment.
1.Bachelor of Science in an engineering field: Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Controls, Chemical or Systems Engineering.
2.Five years of underway time in engineering billets AND qualified as a deck watch officer or Officer of the Deck.
3.One afloat two-year tour as a Chief Engineer on a combined diesel and gas turbine powered ship. This may be concurrent with item 2 above.
4.Two years of experience in a shipyard production or engineering department.
5.Two years of experience as N041, type desk or Port Engineer including the preparation of repair and modernization specifications. This requirement is separate from item 4 above.
6.Two years of experience with FAR/DFAR.
7.One year holding a position in a professional society's local chapter or national board (demonstrates dedication to the trade) OR publication/presentation of a technical article.
8.Eight years of leading a 20+ person department.
9.Five years of experience leading ship related technical projects/programs and applying Earned Value Management technics.
1.Master of Science in an engineering field or MBA OR additional 3 years in shipyard assignments or underway.
2.Hands on experience with CAD, MS Project, Primavera, or estimating tools.

This position is responsible for supporting the sales efforts at a Sherwin-Williams commercial paint store, servicing wholesale customers.
