Seeking a full-time assistant distribution supervisor to assist distribution supervisors in management of Company's trucking fleet that performs direct store delivery 365 days per year.
- 2-3 years experience in the commercial trucking distribution industry and with direct store delivery is required.

JOB SUMMARY: Lead, supervise, manage, motivate and train up to 11 Local Delivery Drivers who provide customer service and compressed gas deliveries to dedicated Airgas accounts. Plans and prepares work schedules and assigns employees to specific duties. Ensures compliance of employees with established security, sales, and record keeping procedures and practices. Answers customers’ complaints or inquiries regarding service, as well as handling of gas cylinders. Investigates and reports any injury or accident. Maintains facility in a neat and orderly fashion. Ensures vehicles/plant equipment are safe and maintained in good mechanical condition. Maintains all DOT compliant service records. Performs mathematical calculations. Ensures all accounting and internal control policies and procedures are followed. *ESSENTIAL DUTIES: * * Provide guidance to Driver Technicians to allow them to provide the highest level of customer service
Provide toxic gas cylinder change outs in compliance with customer’s EH&S standards and Airgas standards
Order Specialty Gas mixtures for the Concord Location and maintain inventory levels to meet customer’s needs
Provide new part numbers for customers as needed
Insure inventory levels (Max/Min) for all Airgas NCN Concord customers are maintained
Ability to react to end user needs 24/7 and coordinate afterhours deliveries
Act as back-up management support to Branch and assist store with customer sales MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * Knowledge of compressed gases and their applications
Extensive knowledge of all DOT rules and compliance
Possession of a TWIC card
Computer skills including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Understanding of cylinder tracking, inventory management and the software used for cylinder management
Understanding of SAP inventory management system
Knowledge of Airgas Part numbers and new part number generation PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Extensive understanding of BAAQMD protocol for continuous emission monitoring
Basic understanding of analyzers (FID, Gas Chromatography, ICP) and how Airgas Products are used in these applications
OUTLOOK accounts access, , OSCA card, in depth site training for 8 locations
Some college courses in Chemistry, management. BA in Management preferred
Knowledge of welding, gases and safety supply industry Work Environment and Safety Equipment Required: While performing the duties of this Job, the associate is regularly required to sit for long periods and stand to perform work. The associate is required to reach with hands and arms, smell, talk or hear. The associate must be able to lift, push, pull or move up to fifty (50) pounds or more with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to noisy and the associate may be exposed to extreme weather.
