Supervises the daily activities of delivery drivers, ensures DOT compliance and the efficiency of the department by actively engaging in the routing, standardization, and training of the drivers to aid in the distribution of all company products in a safe manner.

Supervise, lead, and mentor Delivery Drivers.
Provide assistance to Distribution Manager as it relates to training, improving efficiency of distribution operations, data evaluation, effective and efficient utilization of equipment, and route optimization.

Utilizing continuous improvement mindset, identify and implement opportunities to improve processes.

Develop and maintain a positive, productive relationship with supply chain leadership team.
Partner with all functional departments to ensure meeting business unit and company safety, service, cost, and people goals.

Operates a forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment.
Communicates with Plant Supervisor to maintain appropriate on-hand stock of required gas cylinders.
5 years experience in welding industry and working knowledge of acetylene, or 2 years industry experience plus supervisory experience.
Familiarity with all DOT requirements and regulations for Commercial Drivers.
Excellent communications skills, including verbal, written, dispatching, and phone skills.
Ability to perform work during prolonged sitting up to 7 hours; occasional bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, grasping, feeling, and repetitive motion also required.

Within Stanley Engineered Fastening automotive division, an opening is currently available for Distribution Supervisor, Campbellsville, KY plant.
This position reports to the Plant Manager or Logistics Manager on site and is responsible for directing the activities of the Warehousing and Shipping functions ensuring systems and procedures are established and meet Divisional objectives.
Essential Job Functions
Manage and direct all personnel in the Shipping, Receiving and Warehousing Department.
Manage timecards for hourly and non exempt employee.
Monitor the stock status reporting system and insure that reporting methods are accurate.
Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
Adjust for outside assembly subcontractor losses and production count discrepancies, and adhere to cycle count policies and adjust for cycle count discrepancies.
Establish efficient and economical methods for movement of all materials in and out of plants.
Monitor and manage domestic freight spend and activities including the negotiation of such contracts.
Work with the Materials Management & Purchasing function to establish effective scheduling practices with subcontract suppliers.
Monitor customer scorecards for service related metrics initiating corrective actions as necessary with the support of other functions.
Manage Purchase Orders through the system.
Summarize, report and dispose of obsolescence.
Establish and control strike bank inventories.
Follow-up on inventory levels for engineering changes.
Facilitate training for facility.
Participate in or prepare for any audits for the facility.
Fill in as backup for shipping coordinator and logistics manager as needed
Perform other related activities as needed.
Essential Skills & Experience
Four year Bachelors Degree preferred
Five (5) to seven (7) years prior management experience in automotive related Material control or Warehouse preferred.
