Break Relief Operator supports various positions in the plant to assist with coverage of breaks and vacation. Individual must also have the ability to operate all production machinery for daily shift production. Perform cleaning/sanitation as required. This candidate must have competency to be able to perform filler, unscrambler, QC positions, sleever, and case packer duties.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Have knowledge of all machines on assigned production line (see various job descriptions)
Ensure breaks and meal periods are given to employees in a timely manner and as labor laws require
Work in a safe and accident free-manner by wearing and keeping in good condition all required safety equipment and PPE's
Comply with all company policies, procedures, GMP's, code of safe practices, and SOP's
Check product specification to ensure correct packaging materials and raw materials are being used and coding is correct
Continually check products to ensure that they are within specifications and of high quality i.e. no leaks, proper and accurate lot numbers, ensure boxes and pallets have correct labeling and lot number information
Perform machine change-overs as required
Replenish packaging supplies such as film, boxes, cartons, glue, ink or labels
Make adjustments to machine as necessary and observe to detect any malfunctions
Clear away any damaged product containers
Keep work area clean following HACCP program
Perform cleaning and sanitation on machines as required between products
Perform trouble shooting, minor repairs and communicate with mechanics regarding any mechanical problems
Ensure that down time tracking and all lot information is completed accurately and in timely manner

Candidates must be willing and able to work in a fast paced manufacturing environment. Must be able to communicate and work effectively in a team environment. Must be able to follow instructions (written & verbal), safely and accurately operate bakery equipment and maintain GMP standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Mixer (batter, dough, icing & cream)
Skills- Apply common sense understanding, to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagrammatic form.
Mathematical Skills- Add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure. Perform the four operations with like common and decimal fractions.
Prefer previous safety training.
OTHER ESSENTIAL ELEMENTS NOT LISTED ABOVE INCLUDE:
Organizational skills, read and follow formulations, calculating batter time and length, ability to record batter and exceptions, compute exceptions, ability to watch two machines and know what stage of mixing each is in, ability to make batter adjustments, add weight together (ounces & pounds). Ability to identify ingredients in and out of packing containers, hearing, understanding instructions and seeing.
Scrapers, box knife, bowl knife, scoops, bucket, thermometer, measuring cup, hair net and hearing protection. Safety glasses and bump caps may also be used.
