Responsible for the preparation, decoration, and storage of all ring, shell, and cake doughnuts. Utilizes proprietary icing, filling, and topping techniques and products. Doughnuts and baked goods are processed as needed for all shifts. Quality is closely monitored and all doughnuts and baked goods must meet Krispy Kreme standards.
Be able to work a variety of hours, days and shifts, including weekends

Inspect all products and remove misshapen or otherwise imperfect doughnuts and baked goods
Properly apply fillings, icings, and other toppings to doughnuts using scales and other measuring devices
Maintain awareness of doughnut inventory
Stock and rotate rolling racks and doughnut display cases
Wash, sanitize, and dry all items placed in the utility area, all doughnut making utensils and machinery, or any other item requested by management
Assist with the general cleanliness of the back and the outside of the store

Plan, layout and perform required bench and machine operations to construct, alter and repair intricately designed and constructed tools, dies, fixtures, cavity mold dies, gauges where a high degree of skill and extensive knowledge of plastic mold tooling practice and metal tooling practice application is required. Work from complicated drawings, specifications or concepts. Use a wide variety of precision instruments for exacting measurements.
Lay out work and plan machining and bench procedures. Perform difficult machining operations requiring complicated setups which may involve improvising of tooling and machines for adaptations beyond the normal range in capacities of available equipment. Sets up and operates a variety of CNC mills, CNC EDM's and related CAD equipment machine tools to perform precision machining operations.
Perform critical bench and assembly operations to fit, align, calibrate, adjust, assemble and finish work. Assume responsibility for quality workmanship and dimensional accuracy of assigned work. May include responsibility for training an apprentice Tool and Die Maker or other tool room personnel on a project basis.
Will also operate related CAD/CAM equipment. Analyzes molded parts to determine tool repair and adjustments required with minimum supervision. Responsible for observing safe work habits and cleanliness of work area.
Proceeds under general supervision. Performs other duties as may be requested. Responsible for using standardized inspection methods and SPC as requested.

The applicant must have the ability to read engineering drawings and problem solve is required. Sample makers work closely with our engineering group to develop display concepts from renderings and drawings into fully functional prototypes. Other responsibilities include forklift operation, as well as rail car and tanker truck unloading.
This position requires the ability to work a 12-hour rotating shift, including days, nights, weekend and holidays as scheduled. The successful candidate must be able to thrive in a team environment and work independently with minimal supervision.
The ability to perform basic math calculations is essential. Experience in pigment ink manufacturing is desirable however ability to show Lean Manufacturing experience would suffice. High school diploma or a GED preferred.
A working knowledge of Microsoft Office/Windows based software is strongly desired. Ability to lift 50 lbs. or greater is required.
