Electro/Mechanical Drafter (Entry Level)
Applicant will be responsible for completing custom mechanical drawings of switchboards and power equipment based on customer requirements. This includes drawings needed for the procurement of bus, barriers, supports, sheet metal parts and assemblies. The successful applicant will also assist application / order engineering with conceptual designs layouts for potential and received orders.

The Drafter, under the direction of the Customer Support Document Manager, is responsible for drafting CAD drawings of components, subassemblies and assemblies using fabricated parts for design; reverse engineering
- Utilize basic mechanical engineering skills as found in ANSI 14.5
- Utilize basic measuring tools such as measuring tape, calipers and micrometers, etc.
- Reverse engineer small structures and weldments in a fabrication shop environment
- Able to identify sizes of structural steel used in weldments
- Able to make sketches of (2’-8’ structures and weldments)
- Create Model drawings from hand sketches and measurements taken as stated above in CAD format using -Solid works
- Able to perform incoming inspections of engineered parts and assemblies

Detail Drafter 1
The Drafter creates detail drawings of parts or sub-assemblies incorporating all the necessary information on dimensions, materials, specification, notes, which will be required to produce the part.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Analyzes and breaks down preliminary and general assembly design drawings which have been prepared by design engineer.
Creates detail drawings of various parts and sub-assemblies involved in showing dimensions, materials, specification, assembly, and inspection notes.
Prepares assembly drawings showing callout of detail and standard parts, and all pertinent data required for the fabrication of these parts.
Incorporates CNR's per standard Innovative Power Solutions (IPS) drafting procedures and practices.
Prepares charts, graphs, and schematic drawings.
Verifies digitized patterns by comparison to blueprints, sketches, and actual patterns.
Signs off as the checker on design changes (CNR's) for drawings, including specification and source drawings.
Researches and interacts with Engineering and Production Engineering in support of new drawings and changes to existing drawings.
Coordinates in house drawing review and approval signatures.

Arcadis is currently searching for a MicroStation Drafter, with 5 - 12 years' experience, to join our Infrastructure Business Line team in the Selma, CA office.
CADD Drafter will, under the direction of the Project Designer or Project Manager, work on infrastructure projects, primarily focused on developing design drawings, support during project planning in the form of figures, setting up drawings according to specified CADD standards, working alongside project engineers during design development, and engaging appropriate QA/QC review. Projects will include Civil/Site, Process Mechanical, Quality, process piping and other utility designs.
Position includes, but is not limited to:
Responsible for creating preliminary and detailed design figures and drawings for Infrastructure projects, developing conceptual site layouts, detailed design drawings, as-built condition / record drawings, assisting in the development of conceptual cost opinions (i.e. quantity take-offs), and possibly other engineering related, construction or drafting tasks as assigned.
